Hi everyone! Happy Saturday to you!

I have a question. My neighbor cat keeps pooping in my yard & where my garden used to be. Does anyone have any ideas of what I can put down, or use to detour her from doing this?  "I'll be getting the shovel out this afternoon when I get home to remove what she has left this week."

I use chicken wire over the dirt in areas that I still want to grow plants, and polished decorative rock in other spots like around trees and bushes. There are also repellant sprays available, but I've never tried them and over the long-term I think they'd be more expensive.

Thanks. I had some plastic chicken wire I put up fencing in the garden when I first planted last spring, to give everything a chance to grow w/out the kitties tearing it up. I still have some & can try that, but have solar lights/ statue etc.. in the area, I would have to work around. She has even pooped ON my little border fence in front of the garden before!  As far as the yard, she just pooped right in the middle of it. Didn't even try to cover it up! She is still a little feral. She is mostly outside. (She wouldn't even use a litter box.)

I didn't know if lemon, or other citrus peels would work? Then I could just scatter them around.

Thanks for your suggestion.

lol I just had to comment because my parents have a cat who is guilty of pooing (and peeing) in their neighbors yard...I guess I should say she was guilty of this because the moved to a new house that has a tall privacy fence instead of a chain link one so she now just stays in their large backyard now.

We told our neighbor that he could spray her with the garden hose if he catches her in his yard but he said "that would be mean" bless his heart. This neighbor really worked hard on his yard too and it made us angry when we saw her digging big chunks of grass up in his yard, sadly she was a door darter so when she wanted out you couldn't really stop her from darting out doors and then she wouldn't let you catch her until she was ready to come back inside.
