Hello,  I haven't been on in a while and I've missed it.  I just wanted to share some pictures  and some links to my videos of my fur babies.  My name is George,  My fiance Michelle and i and her two sons,  Cubby and Drew own a bobcat and a muntjac deer.  I know,  I know,  A bobcat's natural prey in the wild are deer.  As long as a bobcat is raised with another animal it will get along, and in our case they are best buds and partners in crime.  lol.  Muntjac deer are not widely known although they are the longest surviving deer species in existence.  They date back to 35 million years ago.  They are quite small reaching weights of around 25 pounds or so.  She lives in the house with us and is just a joy to have around. Her name is Athena.

Benji is our bobcat.  He is a mix between the northern and southern bobcat.  He just turned 5 months old this week.  He is growing like  a weed.  He is an absolutely wonderful little guy.  He loves everyone he meets and is a big talker.  Bobs have a lot of vocalizations that they make.  Both of our exotics have full run of the house and a doggy door to go out into their outdoor enclosure whenever they want.  Michelle's two boys have to go to their dads house a couple times a week and when they come home Benji and Athena get so excited and jump all over them like they havent seen them in years.  Benji likes to sleep in bed with us and takes turns sleeping with us and the boys.  He is very attached to all of us. He naps on our laps and the kids are well versed in exotic ownership and are very responsible.  We have visited two sanctuaries and regularly volunteer at one that is near our house that has exotic cats.  The kids help out and love helping these animals.   Owning an exotic animal like a bobcat or muntjac deer is like nothing else.  I can't explain the joy they bring to us.  We laugh constantly at their antics.  A friend of ours and photographer  named Jen paid a visit to our house to phtograph our babies and i just wanted to share some of them with you.  And some links to our youtube videos of them together.  It's nice being back,  and I also wanted to thank everyone for your support in what we  are going through right now in ohio.  There are proposed bans that could pass on owning exotics in Ohio.  We can't let that pass.  These animals are our babies, just like anyone's domestics are.  Alot of the crap you hear from animal rights groups is that exotics are a danger to society.  Statistics from the National Safety Counsel provide information that proves that exotics are less dangerous than domestics in our country.  I understand that there are many more domestic owners, but the lack of any attacks on the public by exotic animals shows that private owners of exotics are responsible and have the proper safety precautions in place to prevent escapes.  My exotics like most exotics owned by private individuals are of no danger to the general public.  I have double door  entries at all entrances to our house and a very secure enclosure also.  Please keep us in your prayers.  Thank you.  Enjoy the pics.  Taken by our friend Jen.
