The vet did say some worrying things.  She mentioned FIP, although he has no symptoms.

If I were a betting man, I'd go with a relapse of giardia plus maybe roundworms or tapeworms, although we've seen no signs of the tape worms, except Flambe scooting on the carpet.

EDIT:  The vet also mentioned cardiomyopathy, but, again, no real symptoms of it.
This was the shelter vet?
You know Mike...... :stomp: FIP unfortunately is thrown out there just like that - don't know what's going on...... "oh, can be FIP" :wife:

Flambe has no symptoms and is not a kitten nor a senior..... :doh3:

Sorry Mike....... with those 2 "diagnostics (or lack-thereof) I would be going to another vet....... :2cts:

No, this is my vet, and she's very good.  She was very thorough, and said that it would be a mistake to start treating for anything until all the tests were back.

Oh, good then...... How is the little one doing, and when are you getting those tests back? :vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes:
:hugs:

The fecal test came back clean.  He doesn't behave much differently, but I'm keeping an eye on him.  I have a gut feeling there is some underlying problem, but it may be something congenital.

Flambe seems to be back to his normal, slightly crazy self.  I have no idea what the problem was, but his eyes are back to normal, and he looks like he's picking up a little weight.

That's good news! Just the mention of FIP understandably makes everyone shudder. Whatever he had, it's great he seems to be over it.

Well, he's still skinny, but he always has been.  Lithe, long, Siamese-type build.

So glad to read he's back to his crazy self.  Here's hoping he puts on a bit of weight, too.

Yeah, he's always coming up with new tricks.  Lately, when he wants attention, he comes to the back of my desk and starts pulling papers off.  And he's been coming up behind me and "mugging" me by jumping up and patting me on the back.
