Tuesday morning I got home just in time to see the nominees for the Academy Awards and saw that a French movie called "A Cat in Paris" was a nominee for best Animated film. I was curious and decided to look up the trailer and it looks AMAZING!
I absolutely love the style of the animation, it looks like a moving peice of art. Not to mention the story seems to be just wonderful.
This is a description of the plot,
After the murder of her father, a little girl seeks the companionship of her cat while her mother (a police officer/detective) searches for the man who killed him. The cat, while a faithful companion to the girl, has a secret life. By day he's a loving pet but by night he's the sidekick of a good natured jewel theif. When the girl decides to follow the cat one night, the cat and the theif must help save the girl from the very man who killed her father.
Youtube also has the complete opening scene which I posted below.
I soo want to see this. Sadly, its not coming to any theatres in my area so I must wait for it to be released on Netflix or on dvd.
