My old dog, Jello, is having health issues. Today, I brought him for a blood test. Since we were both getting bored waiting for the results we stepped out for a few minutes to take a walk. I left Jello's carrier (a comfy bag) and some other stuff at the vet. When we came back, got the results and were ready to leave, there was a young calico asleep in Jello's carrier. The vet apologized, saying the cat was a stray and had the habit of sleeping in unusual places around the clinic. I think it is wonderful the vet has a good heart and is willing to have strays in the premises. I noticed some "dog" people among the patients weren't very happy. Jello is to return after 2 weeks. I hope I see the napping calico again!

That really is sweet of the vet.

I hope Jello's tests were ok. :cross:

Love the name Jello for a dog lol. What made you give him that name?
The original owner named him. I took him when he was 7 years old.  He is a shih'tzu and his "bloodline" is registered. I think Jello's littermates' nicknames all start with J. I am not familiar with the rules of dog pedigrees but maybe Jello is the 10th litter or something?

Thanks I also like the name.

There is no rule about it, some breeders just do it to keep track of the pups in the litter or they pick a letter and name all of the pups in the litter with that letter, again, to keep track of them easier. :)

That sounds like an adorable cat and you have a wonderful vet! There are a few office cats at my vet, but none of them ever come near the dogs that go in.

My vet has office dogs. They kinda just wander around like Walmart greeters. I like them enough, I am allways a nervous wreck when taking the cat/rats in. Its nice that they stop for a quick petting and go about their way.
