Hello!

I'm still struggling with my Lucas, thank God he is not having trouble urinating, days ago he looked like he had an infection or something, but the vet said it was cystitis caused by stress and he was right, he is already urinating normal.  What concerns me is that Lucas looks so depressed, he looks sad and even though he eats well and all, he even gained weight, he looks sad.

I've been thinking a lot about Lucas and Nena, and I've been thinking Lucas might be sick because he doesn't like Nena, he never has, he just can't stand her, she is adorable and so sweet to people, but she is mean to other cats and she is mean to Lucas.  For example , Lucas was doing better three days ago, I mean, he was eating canned z/d and taking the Allergy Defense pills I got him and he was doing so great I was excited.  But then on  Saturday I had to leave all day, I got back and found him all red, eyes swollen, he had pulled his hair out, I mean, he looked bad, I just cried.   He was alone with Nena all day, so I think  being alone with her is not good for him.  I've been  leaving them in separate rooms when I go out just in case.

Another thing I've been thinking, Lucas hasn't been with Flaqui and Fuzzy for  a year and a half.  They are in another area of the house because they were outdoor kitties and the still go out supervised by me.  I don;t want them to be in contact with Lucas because he is  so sensitive.  Also, two years ago, two of my kitties, Baddy (Flaqui's son) and Princess (Fuzzy's sister) died of Leukemia.   Flaqui and Fuzzy were tested and were negative, but I have to say, I didn't trust the result, I've been scared of them testing positive in the future because they were outdoors a lot with the other cats and they also were close to the kitties that died.

The point is, Lucas was tested two times and he was negative to Leukemia, I was scared because he was always playing with Fuzzy, Lucas loves Fuzzy  so much!  And Fuzzy loves him too.  Yesterday Lucas was so sad that I decided to take him outside, in my arms just to look around, and when he saw Fuzzy in the yard he almost jump out of my arms, and Fuzzy went insane trying to play with Lucas, but i didn't let them.

I'm thinking I should test Fuzzy again, it's been almost two years since he has been tested and if he is negative, I will let them be together, that could help Lucas be happy, he needs his brother, something tells me this could help. That will mean that I won;t let Fuzzy go outside again.

What do you all think?  Sorry for writing so much, I'm a desperate meowmy...

Hugs,Tammy

Tammy, I think you should trust your feelings on this. :heart3: If Fuzzy tests negative for Leukemia, I think it can't hurt to see what happens. :hugs: :vibes: :vibes: :vibes: :vibes: :vibes:

Thank you Laurie, I just think that maybe Lucas needs a companion  that he loves in order to get better and he adores Fuzzy, he always have, it is like he knows he is his brother.  I think I will make an appointment this week to have Fuzzy tested again.  I pray to God he is  negative like he was, he looks great, but you never know. Leukemia is such a scary disease.

The only problem I have is the vet always sedates the cats to take the  blood.  I remeber I mention that a while ago and everyone got upset, and I completely agree with everyone, I know sedation is a risk for the kitties.  I will see if I can get the vet to take the blood without sedating Fuzzy, if he doesn't want to , I will see if I can find another vet who does.
