OMG! I totally missed the conversation about the china.... :wow: Everyone's kitties are eating in such style! Carolina - those are beautiful! I hope your grandma is proud that her great-grand kids are enjoying her beautiful dishes! :lol3:

Lauren - if the food is upstairs, and they eat the raw upstairs.... is eating canned downstairs just an ingrained part of the process now? :lol3:

I'm sorry you had such a FUSSY morning! And I HAVE to agree with you! Chicken is chicken! I don't get it! :dk: But .... what can I say? They're just.... insane! :flail:

Hope the rest of the day has been better! :hugs:

When did you stop going upstairs to feed them their raw?  Was today the first day?  I think they just developed that habit, now  you'll need to re-train them;) .

Oh,and I'm guessing there IS a taste difference between regular chicken and organic chicken, but I'm not going to be the taste tester in the cat food arena to verify that.  But haven't you ever noticed the difference between certain chicken and others?  Boy, I have!  And sometimes it can be kind of tough and stringy (and I'm not talking about mistaking a stewing chicken for a fryer...do they even sell those separately any more?).  I'm talking about the differences in just boneless/skinless breasts and/or thighs for human consumption.
I am sure there is a difference in how the chicken is cooked and prepared which would make it taste different. Also - there are different ingredient's in each different brand of commercially made raw chicken for the cat's. And they can just detect the slightest difference

YEP - today was the first day to try incorporating raw into the canned breakfast. I guess that is NOT going to work YET. That is alright - I am just happy they love the routine of eating raw upstairs on china :flail: AND today was the first day that Pipsqueak and Perkins ate the "regular" NV chicken (which has turkey in it also) SEE - I am learning that if I just keep offering they will eventually think it is alright to finally try and eat something new!!!! SO I am working on the Nature's Menu Chicken - I really want to get some boneless meat into them. :cross:

Lauren - if the food is upstairs, and they eat the raw upstairs.... is eating canned downstairs just an ingrained part of the process now? :lol3:

YES :lol3: you are right - they are just used to this routine. WHAT WE CAN'T eat raw downstairs !!!!!!! :flail: They are insane and are making sure I am insane too  It is funny because Pipsqueak really doesn't want his canned food, he just want's to hurry up and get upstairs for the NVO chicken. My goodness - he loves that stuff now :woohoo:

OH - Poor Pipsqueak - I do pick out the bones in the NV but sometimes a little one is still in the meat. Pipsqueak must have got one caught in his mouth. He growled and he hissed and then meowed :lol3: I didn't know what was wrong at first and then I realized it was a bone that might have hurt his mouth. I have to be more careful with the NV and the bones.... GOSH!!!!!!!!! WHY of all the raw meats on the market - do they like the NV and are eating that brand well. I really want them on boneless...... will keep trying :cross:

YAY The four P'sIMA ate about 1/2 ounce of fresh cut up chicken last night for dinner HEE HEE. Mixed in with Weruva Paw Lickin chicken. Perla seemed to really enjoy that meal. AND she even finished up Pipsqueak's meal. The Pipster is not too keen on the fresh raw chicken - YET :lol3: Bedtime meal went excellent - S&C FD Lamb. Again - Perla ate like Miss Piggy. They all did very well yesterday and I was so darn, tootin' happy :D :happy3: !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today - Breakfast - the :princess: was a no show :lol2: Not surprised. I am seeing a pattern with her. Every other day - Miss Piggy and then Miss Universe and needs to watch her waistline :flail:

Pipsqueak and Perkins had about 2 ounces of NVO chicken and NV Rabbit :woohoo:!!!!!!!!!!! Presley wasn't interested in the raw this morning..... until about ten minutes later I had a plate sitting on the counter with about 1 ounce of NV Rabbit and 1 ounce of Wellness chicken that I had offered to Wilbur - who refused.... Didn't expect to see what I saw :lol2: Presley had jumped up on the counter and completely licked that plate clean. I was watching with a big smile on my face :D. I was thinking the Presley and Perla would not be eating this morning at all - just a bit fussy. Presley made momma SO very happy. Perla only had a little of Wellness chicken. I am hoping she will eat a good dinner :cross:

Walden and Wendall has NV Rabbit and NM Chicken!!!!!!!!! MY GOOD BOYS!!!!!!!!!!!! Such momma's boys :rub: :heart3:

OH - side note - the pickiness over food has filtered out to the Chipmunk I feed every Spring. I noticed that the cat's were going bonker's looking out the kitchen window this morning. I knew that meant that "Cheerio" (the chipmunk) has come out of hibernation :lol3: I feed this little darlin' every year and it has been at least three years. She has her babies out front each Spring and antagonizes the cat's. Smart little chipmunk she IS. I looked out the window and sure enough, Cheerio, was sitting on the front porch staring in the window in her usual style as if to say "WHERE'S THE FOOD LADY"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Cheerio will do this in the morning's and wait to be served too. SO I brought out her favorite cereal - Cheerio's of course. Her first meal of the year :clap: and do you know what - :wife:  Cheerio sniffed the cheerios' - looked at me in the window - sat up - and then ran back into her hole in the ground  ARE YOU KIDDING ME :stomp:!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Even the chipmunk is refusing to eat and the pile of cherrios' are still out on the front porch..... :flail: :spit:  I just can't win.............

I have not updated since Saturday because - really nothing new going on over here!!!! BUT it is all good news. Everyone is eating fresh chicken breast for dinner - mixed in with the shredded Weruva chicken. They are doing great with chewing too. I SO love to watch the cat's chew meat. Kinda weird, huh :flail:. But true... I love the sound too :lol3: Anyway - I am just about to cut up some organic chicken thigh and serve that with dinner tonight. I am sure they will like it just the same as the breast. :cross:

Walden and Wendall are just doing fantastic! They just LOVE their meals each and every time. Such good little carnies :heart3: :rub: I have YET to have them refuse anything at all. They will literally eat anything. Wendall was getting sick of Lamb so I changed it up the last two days and then offered Lamb this morning. He ate it just fine. :D

The four PsIMA :lol3: have been doing fairly well. I just never know from day to day. But they are eating the raw meats on their china in the morning well. Except for Perla - she never comes for the raw on china but I do offer some S&C FD after the boys are all done and she will usually come and eat that off of her plate :bigthumb: I have been able to "hide" raw ground in her wet meals though :woohoo: BOY when that girl is hungry - she will eat - so that is the key with her. The problem is that she is an odd pattern. Every other day pattern with her appetite. Odd - yesterday she only ate about 2.8 ounces of food and it was work to get her to eat that. The day before she had 5 ounces of food. And today so far she has already had 2 ounces of food with two more meals to go. She certainly keeps my on my toes and thinking through each day with her. I honestly think she LOVES doing this stuff to me  Gotta run and go cut up that chicken thigh - almost late for dinner prep time. :wave2:

OMG :princess: Perla could be :princess: Spooky! Except I STILL can't hide raw in Spooky's canned food yet! :thud:
It ONLY work's by mixing it in the following - Fancy Feast Fish/Shrimp, BFF, or Mack/Jack - which could not be long-term - so I am screwed either way. Either feed her garbage and mix the raw in OR she doesn't eat raw. :flail: Again, I can't win - she has me at every corner.... :lol2: I wonder of :princess: Spooky will eat it mixed in the BFF - I could probably get all my PsIMA to eat the raw mixed with BFF every day. BUT that is all tuna :sigh: and I don't think that is good that they eat that every single day.....

OMG THE CHICKEN THIGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is much tougher than the breast. While I was cutting up and bagging the thigh, my three carnies Perkin's, Walden and Wendall - (yep - Perkin's is now eating almost just as well as the two W's. - not so much of a PiMA anymore ) OMG those three couldn't get enough of the chicken thigh. They had to have pieces while I was chopping. I am getting very good at bagging up about 2.5 ounces of fresh meat by feel alone. After I bagged about three pounds of the cut-up thigh - I weighed all of the bags and they all weighed between 2 ounces and 2.5 ounces :clap::clap::clap::clap: I guess I don't need a scale :bigmouth:

WELL - here is good laugh.... I tried to tear up the pieces of the thigh pretty tiny for Perla's plate. One piece must have had a little piece of stringy fat still on it. I was watching her eat and she was spitting out the pieces of chicken thigh on her plate and then looking at them in complete shock  WHAT THE HEL! IS THIS MIXED IN WITH MY McDONALD'S garbage food........ :stomp: Then she took another bite of her mixture of Fancy Feast Fish/Shrimp and that piece of chicken thigh with the stringy fat in it got caught in her mouth. As the :princess: tried to spit it out onto her plate - it got caught between her teeth... OMG OMG what a dramatic event that followed... :flail: She backed up and saw the piece swinging from her mouth. :dash: She took off looking like she was a princess with her glass slipper's on and trying to dodge puddles in the rain so as to not get her shoes dirty or her dress wet.. :flail: I seriously wish I had a video camera going. It was that funny to me - I am still laughing at the sight of it in my mind. Poor :princess: Perla - this raw crap is just not for a drama queen such as herself. :hmm: I wonder what tomorrow will bring

:flail: :flail: :flail: (PLEASE do not tell Perla I'm laughing at this story about her! ). So WHEN did that piece of thigh eventually become unattached to her teeth?

 Oh our :princess:'s are just too much! Lucky is the same way! Eating raw........ OMG.... should see her walking on grass! THAT is a sight to be seen! :flail: She lifts her paw SO high trying to not touch the grass.... Looks like she has a diaper with 10lbs of poop on her  These :princess:'s are just too tidy, you know? They are just not fit for all this mundane stuff :nono:
And yeah.... What was the end of that story? Hope sticky piece of fatty meat is not sticking on the wall somewhere

I can't stop laughing.... And now picturing Lucky walking on grass with a ten pound poopy diaper is just more than I can't handle :flail: MY GOD THESE GIRLS WOULD NOT SURVIVE ONE DAY IN THE WILD  :spit:

Oh sorry, forgot to tell about what became of that piece of chicken thigh meat :lol3: Well..... That's what dogs are for. Henry followed the :princess: along waiting for that piece of meat to dislodge :flail: It was about 30 seconds before it came loose. OMG. I will never forget that for as long as I live. Thank you Perla for the great laugh. She was so utterly disgusted with me for laughing instead of helping. I doubt she will eat tomorrow just to spite me.... Like I said.... That would have been one for America's Funniest Videos.

THANK YOU, BABIES :hyper: :D :jump: for making momma's day today :banana1:  :banana2: !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Breakfast was so easy today!!!!!!!! Mostly because Perla was so hungry from yesterday. She did eat yesterday but not till dinner. She was still recovering from the run-in with the chicken thigh that other night. I knew she would do that to me - make me worry :nervous: She only had about two ounces of food yesterday and none of it was raw :slant:

BUT today!!!!!!!!!! Will start with Perla.... She has 1 ounce of NV Rabbit and 1 ounce of Mack/Jack for breakfast and was looking for more. So gave he another 1/2 ounce of rabbit mixed with a little more Mack/Jack. I was very happy and will stay with the NV rabbit with her for a little while until my new meat comes in from Carolina. I have high hopes for the Rad Cat - but I have been let down before with these four PsIMA.... :lol3: We will see. :cross:

Pipsqueak, Perkins and Presley all had 1/2 ounce NV rabbit mixed in with Mack/Jack downstairs. I am starting to incorporate at least ONE base meat into their wet foods. If I keep it the same meat then they will adjust to the new smell. It is when I change something that throws everything into a spin :spin: :rotate:... But, I have to get the ball rolling again and try to get them eating more raw. THEN upstairs we went for MORE raw. Pipsqueak had TWO OUNCES of NVO chicken :clap: Perkins and Presley had one ounce each. SO everyone had a HUGE meal this morning. OH :hyper: :jump: PIPSQUEAK ate some Nature's Menu Chicken from Walden's plate that was on the counter this morning too :happy3: That is the first time he licked at NM chicken. I will be a happy, happy momma if I can get him away from the NVO chicken :cross: The bones are a real problem and I have to pick them all out by hand. If there was a topping I could find that Pipsqueak would just love, I would roll balls of raw in that topping. I just can't find any topper that he just dies to have  No on Fortiflora, no on Halo, no on WL, no on crushed Temptation treats, no on WL beef liver, no on parmesan cheese...... I might try a FD salmon product and can pick that up today at the natural store. :cross: If I could find ONE topping... then I could make raw balls for him to try - that would help so much. Although, we all know that topping's can become addictive and then they won't eat ANYTHING without that topping. It really is a vicious cycle and what began as such a perfect solution, ends up being a real problem. :flail:

Walden and Wendall, my darling, perfect raw eating machines  :heart3: :rub: They each had one ounce of Nature's Menu Chicken and 1/2 ounce of NV Chicken. :D :clap::clap:

Tonight - the usual dinner. Will do the Chicken thigh again. NOT FOR PERLA :flail: :nono: She will get more NV rabbit mixed in with Weruva Paw Lickin Chicken. She had better not let me down :cross: :lol3:
