Hello everyone. I am new here. I have four cats.

Their names are as followed:

Michelle: 5 years (F)

Kayla: 2 years (M)

Carl: Under a year (F)

Jasmine: Over 6 months (F)

As you can see I love my cats very much and was wondering if you guys have any tips for cats getting along. Every cat gets along fine, except Michelle and Jasmine. Jasmine hisses at her every time she sees, but Michelle does not mind her.

Hi and welcome to the Cat Site! :wavey: I hope you enjoy it here.
Interesting names for your cats. I think my next pets will have more "human" names too. People seem to be trending that way these days away from traditional pets' names like Fido and Fluffy.

Hi!  I like your kitty names too!  My Mom and step-dad seem to give their dogs "people" names; but their cats have more typical pet names.  My 2 were named after a comic strip.

Did I read your post right; your younger hisses at the older cat.  But the older one doesn't mind the younger?

I'm really not sure what the deal with that is.  How long have you had the younger one?  And how were they introduced?  I know some cats just take longer.  One cat of my mother's, Bunny, takes months to get used to new members in the house.  She is the Alpha with Attitude.  She doesn't like anyone entering her domain without her express permission.  hehe  Also HOW she meets the new cat or dog makes a difference.  She was full grown when we got her and unfortunately the old dog (who has been gone a few years now) wasn't put outside when we first brought her home so her first glimpse inside had a big, excited, barking dog.  We kept her in a room by herself for a while after that.  But it wasn't the best intro to her home.  Since she is the moody one; we try to do things like giving treats and playing with special toys (like the laser pointer) when all of the cats are together.  Basically try to get her to associate the other 2 with something positive.

This section of our forum would be the best place to post your question: http://www.thecatsite.com/f/5/behavior.  It would probably get more attention there from the people who have dealt with that kind of situation a lot.
