For February 1st!!!!!!!

I convinced my Dr to indulge my crazy and let me get the anatomy scan at 18 and a half weeks!!!!!!!!!!

We decided that we will tell....mostly cuz df can't keep a secret and blabs worse than a woman (no offense ladies lol). However I won the most important part. We will not be telling the actual surgery date so we can have time right away just us as a family without feeling rushed by our families to let them bombard us. Whoop whoop!!!!!

Of course TCS and Pam will know right away cuz I can't keep a secret from you guys lol.

Sooooooo excited!!!! Bean was doing awesome today and I had to share the ultrasound date. I say girl df says boy. Anyone else wanna guess?????

I will definitely post a pic. Lol

We now realized.....we may not be 100% on the names we picked. Eek. There could be a name battle after the ultrasound lol.

Oh my word names are the hardest, you think of a name and then when the baby is born you change your mind if they don't look like they suit that name,I have been lucky though and all the names that I have chosen have fitted brilliantly.I really am so excited for you hun, a first baby is just wonderful.xx

I'll require a before and after picture of your behind. (In clothes people, ) to tell what gender the baby is! Do you have colors picked for each, or are you going neutral green and yellow...

I can't wait for pictures of the little one!!!

The names we initially picked were Charles Stanley and Karen Louise. The problem is I don't think Charles Stanley flows well and I prefer Keiryn not Karen. So now its all up in the air. Carter is a front runner for a boy (a company called carter makes carburators) and I like Benjamin but I dislike the nicknames like benny or benji. For a girl Abigayle, Aubrey or Audrey are front runners. It's gonna be tough cuz df and I totally but heads about stuff like this.

I think its a girl df is adament he only makes boys lol. This would be the second girl ever in his family. His grandfathers brother or cousin had a girl and that's it. Lol. My friend on another forum is an ultrasound tech and at the 12 wk scan she said she's 85% sure its a girl. Either way we will be happy but we would like a boy.

The room will be done in cream, chocolate brown and a minty sagey green and monkeys. Lots of monkeys. That's a firm choice boy or girl. We did pick the travel system, play yard, high chair etc collection. Eddie bauer Ashland. But we need to know the gender cuz its brown plaid with blue or pink high lights. I loveeeeee plaid so that set was instantly our favorite. Everything else.....we haven't made firm decisions. I know I don't like the monkey bedding sets for sale. The monkeys look kind of evil lol. I think I'm going to buy seperate crib sheets and find someone who can sew to make a plain patch work style quilt for the baby's bed. Something we can use.but then save as a special blankie. I'm also going to make some fleece blankies and crochet a couple blankies. I'm also looking into making felt monkeys to use as wall art since most monkey stuff they are selling just doesn't float my boat.

This shopping stuff is wearing my out lol. I haven't even bought anything yet I'm just window shopping. The shopping will be when we get our tax return so we can just go buy it all at once. It will be a mix of online and in store shopping depending on how I can get the best price. I figured out if I buy off Sears.com I get a better price than in store and can probably pick it up same day. Lol oy I hate shopping lol.

If you're worried about his name sounding like something famous, Charles Stanley is a famous Christian minister/author. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles_Stanley

Then again, that might be a good thing. :D

Hehe...I feel ya on the shopping thing.  I had to make a list of stuff I need to replace and things I should be good on.  Now I'm price comparing stuff in every store I go into that carries baby things!  Not trying to spend a fortune ya know?  Doesn't help LabCorp just sent me a bill for over $2000 for my bloodwork done at my first appt because they can't get my insurance information straight; even though they've been given it 3 times.
Needless to say my insurance company got a call from me and they are handling it.  We've been down this road with them before; but not for this much $$!  Wait till DH sees it!  (Sorry for the hijack!)

We are pretty settled on a name for this baby too; but I'm afraid that last minute or after hes born I'll change my mind!  I want to do some wall art with his name; but I'm afraid to!  I just would like to do it before he is here; not 8 months after like I did with DD!  But I've been "trying it on" him and it gives me the warm fuzzies. LOL

I really like the name Carter.....and I like Keiryn, too. Or Karen, either one. (I have a "thing" with the name Charles. Well, not really Charles so much, but they're often called Charley or Chuck.)

The room sounds just beautiful!

Good luck, Tyler! I'm so excited for you!

I wouldn't mind naming a boy Charles Allen III but df is Chaz and his dad is Charlie so chuck is what's left and being a jersey housewives fan.....I think of chuckelina which is their word for a girls hoo hoo. Lol

Right now for a girl we have Audrey Louise and Lucy Nicole as options. Keira Louise is an option too but it isn't floating my boat. Carter and Benjamin are still in the lead for a boy but with df having Allen as his middle name and his brother being named Allen.....using Allen as a middle name gives me the willies. I would still like to use Charles but it has to flow. I'm big on how a name flows and if it doesn't I don't care how much I like it it will bother the fudge out of me lol.

I told him our back up if we can't agree is Franklin. Lol poor kid will be called it till we decide on a name.

Ah, this name selection is making me smile.  My friend went through naming issues with her guy and finally she gave in and let him pick the baby's name.  I don't know how he managed winning out on such an important task, but he selected a pretty name.  I really like Benjamin.  And Keira or Keiryn are beautiful names.   This is fun.

I love both the girl names you have picked!  It almost seems easier to pick a boys name because I don't like as many names; but I still love looking at girl names!
I think I like Carter a little more than Benjamin for a boy but it's a close call.  Might be because that's my BIL's name (Benjamin).

Df is pretty dead set on Carter Allen. I'm kind of set on Audrey Louise. So for now those are on top. Lol who knows if that will change.

Congratulations... I had my first daughter's name picked out through the whole pregnancy... then changed it as they wheeled me out of recovery (could've been the drugs... from my c-section)
Her name is Aubrie. Good luck picking!

We are a few hours from you.  Far enough south that we got snow overnight and I guess some mixed precip after that, but rain all day.  I am thankful for that because we had DD's birthday party today and her party last year (her first birthday one!) got snowed out!

Yep. And you know how amused I am about the snow, I'm sure.  It started Friday night and was pretty much finished by 11:00 Saturday morning. We probably got about six inches or so. Rick did some shoveling in the driveway, but we're now supposed to get rain tonight into Monday with  temps close to 50 (crazy weather!) by Monday afternoon, so he bagged it...we figure by Monday afternoon, the snow will be gone anyway. And 40s for the rest of the week. And he's thinking that, with Hannah, I shouldn't have any trouble getting out of the driveway. So he just said the heck with shoveling this time.
