New to The Cat Site

Hi everyone, I am Aimee and I am new to the site. I posted in the Feral cat category about a new little guy we got from our vet. He is very scared of us. Please take a look at my post "Unfriendly or very scared formerly feral cat?"

Anyway, I LOVE cats, always have. I recently lost my best friend of over 14 years, Frisky.

I still miss him everyday. He was the best Christmas present I ever got.

Hi Aimee!  Frisky is such a handsome lil man!  I'm so sorry you lost him.    Been there.  I still miss each of my furbabies that have gone to the Rainbow Bridge; but especially one in particular that was like my soul mate as far as cats go.  Have you seen our Rainbow Bridge section?  It's a nice place to post a tribute to our furbabies that have passed away.

I will go check out your other thread to see if I can add anything.   I drive through your area of PA once or twice a year when we go visit my family in New York.  It's almost a half way point for us so I look forward to reaching it. hehe

Your Frisky was so gorgeous.  What a shock his stroke must have been.  I'm so sorry .   I wish I could tell you that your new kitten will be a cuddler but they have to decide that on their own.  Currently I have four cats and non of them are lap caps.  In fact, none of them even like us to pick them up.  I think you have received some good advice on the other forum.  Just be patience, and lay low.    I swore one of mine would never come off the dining room chair.  I never saw her unless I went to look for her there.  After six months or so she decided we weren't so bad and joined the rest of the family.  She is a real lover even if she doesn't want to be held.

Thanks everyone. It is hard getting  by with out Frisky but I try. I love that everyone on here love cats as much as I do. It makes me feel right at home.

hehe...  I always know people on TCS will "get it" when people in "real life" dont!
