King Arthur's unusual way of getting my attention!!

Since my Little Man was a baby kitten, he has had an unusual way of getting my attention... He attacks my butt!!  Not meanly, but he gives it a little nip or two with his paw!  He especially does this if he is feeling ignored or I am holding one of the girls.  It's just his way of saying "I'm here, too.  See me.  Love ME!!"

I don't really have a question... I was just wondering if anyone else's kitty has an unusual way of getting their attention?

Does he jump up, or is he an unusually tall cat? My cats only manage to swipe me knee high when they want attention (but they certainly do that occasionally! The kids have a good giggle when a claw gets caught up in my pants and the cat can't get away on his own).

My Muddy stands on his hind legs with his paws on my thighs and MEOWLS at me. If I fail to pick him up, he follows me around like a moving speed bump and either tries to trip me, or wraps his arms around my ankles and bites them. At this point he nearly screams his displeasure at me for ignoring me. Poor neglected boy! (NOT)

My Scarlett announces herself as she jumps up next to me. If I don't immediately make room for her next to me, she'll get her face up close to mine and paw at my face. With claws out. She is VERY persistent.

Spanky just plops on top of me. At 18 pounds, he doesn't need to do anything special to get my attention. I grunt when he lands on me.

Pinky is more subtle. He jumps next to me and gives me a stare down. In the past once in a while, if I didn't pay attention to him, he would turn around and pee on me. Needless to say, we've corrected this quirk of behavior. Yes, this was the most extreme attention getting maneuver I've ever seen with a cat. The only thing I had to do to correct it was to make a point to tell him he is beautiful while I pet him.

Koko is daddy's girl. She jumps up next to him then paces back and forth across his lap.

Lucky is still learning to be a human sociable cat (lived feral for a while). He was doing well when I called him over for scritches, but never really approached on his own. He's progressed to the point where he jumps up on the sofa when I'm sitting there and lays down quietly. Once I start scritching on him, he stands up and comes closer to me and actually laid down in my lap the other day. That's huge progress for the boy.

Then there is Stumpy. He doesn't need to do anything to get attention other than walk by me. He'll be 17 in a few months and he gets all the attention I can muster for him. He's really enjoying it.

Anne, yes The King is very long and tall.  He weighs a little over 25lbs but he is not overweight, to give you an idea.  He does this when I am sitting in a chair mostly, though.  He just likes to make sure I take notice of him.  He will speak up and let me know, when I am standing.  I think it is because the girls are more vocal, but since he was a kitten he has established this as HIS method of getting my attention.  It can be annoying but it is my own fault really, I didn't correct him.  I don't mind it, though.  It is just his way.  He's not as vocal as the girls.  And he wanted his own unique way I guess!

Momofmany, all yours sound so great!  Just like mine.  They really do develop their own individual ways of doing something and own personalities, huh? :)
