Starting and stopping

Does anyone else often do this? I start a book, and even if I'm quite enjoying it, I'll often put in down and not pick it up again for weeks. Then I start another book, so I never get around to finishing the first.
Right now I've got "The Case of the Man Who Died Laughing" and "The Last Crossing" bookmarked and sitting forlornly by my bedside.
Bah! I just don't know why I can't finish a book lately!

I do that when I find a book tedious, but not if I'm enjoying it. Some I never go back to, and others I start and then stop reading all over again, e.g,. Lord of the Rings.

Well I'm very pleased that I picked up The Last Crossing again! Couldn't put it down yesterday. Wonderfully written, superb book! I guess I've got to be in the right mood.
