Sebastian just got home from a 3 day stay at the vet. :D  Turns out he'd blocked up over the weekend and they had to put a catheter in him to clean him out.  The removed the catheter yesterday and kept him for observation and when they called me this afternoon, they said he hadn't peed all day but he hadn't really drank anything either.  They let me take him home to see if maybe he'll pee where he's more comfortable.  He's been home for a little over an hour now, hasn't eaten and has peed a little bit in his litter box twice.  He still acts like urination is painful, though he's not straining and screaming like he was when he was blocking up.  The vet said that he'd be a little sore after they got the catheter out, but I wasn't sure for how long.  Any ideas?  Anything I should watch for?  They told me if he hadn't pee by tomorrow morning, to bring him back in.  But he has pottied twice now, though they were fairly small amounts.  But then again, he hasn't been drinking.  I'm just confused and paranoid and worried.  :(

I've never had a catheter in, so I can't speak from experience, but those I know who have say that it does create an "odd" feeling for a while.

I'd keep in touch with the vet.  Did he give you some pain medicine or antibiotics?
