I stopped the Lamisil last night.. gave her face a good washing with a small bit of regular cat shampoo and left her alone, not applying anything on at all. I want to see how she does without me fussing with it with all sorts of things. Maybe its what she needs.. nothing. The vet will have to mail me the anti-fungal pills.. by the time I get it, I'll see how she is and see if she still needs it or not. If she doesn't, I'll save the pills just in case if I need it in the future (lets hope not!!) The CS will be here eventually. hopefully this week. I wish my pharmacies sell them locally!

The vet said its OK to put Lamisil around her eye, but be careful not to get it IN her eye.

I got pill pockets for the cats to try 250 mg of Lysine again (vet suggested boosting the immune system). Monet gobbled the pill pocket with the pill up right away.. Cassie ignored it, she only likes regular greenies treats.. she doesn't like any other kinds of treats, especially the soft ones. I had to make her eat the pill (which she tolerated). Next time it'll be crushed in her food.

Tomorrow will be their 3rd bath with the Keto-Chlor. I like this shampoo.. their fur is SO soft when they dry!

I wonder.. since Monet is doing better, and Cassie is still iffy, can Monet get worse again as Cassie gets better, and vice versa? Can they continue to give it to each other and be an endless cycle? My mom brought this up and made me wonder.

And just because it's a cute picture (got the reindeer costume for 3 bucks at Petco.. couldn't resist!) It doesn't fit her right, the hood doesn't stay on her head. it's made for dogs.

I THINK its doing better? I can't tell.. certainly not worse. I am not seeing the spots under the eyes anymore, but I am still putting CS there anyway.

they had another bath tonight. I couldn't get Monet since he shedded so much and I didn't want fur on my camera! But I got a few of Cassie's bath, lol

Really, Meowmy?

Just an update.

Monet is doing very well. his fur is growing back nicely in the patch, and no new lesions appeared (knock wood!!)

Cassie is also doing better. Not 100% yet, but an improvement. her eye isn't swollen much, it's almost round again! The skin is looking white as it should, not as pink. She still has some crusties that cleans off when I clean her face, but appears again a few hours later. Not as bad as it was a week ago. No other lesions popped up for her either (knock wood!). The spots under here eyes never grew worse.. you can see a bit of hair loss on the corner of her other eye. Here's a pic from this morning, before cleaning and CS (her fur is stained from the CS in some areas.. oops):

Doesn't she have the most beautiful eyes?!

thanks you two!

I am giving them both 25 mg of the pills.. recommended dose is 50-100, but because they aren't severe and are healing, the vet suggested cutting the pill in half to help speed things up a little more and help knock it out of their system.. kinda ensuring it doesn't come back (hopefully). Today was their 4th day on it, she suggested for a least a week on it.

Let's hope!! This is very tiring!

Cassie is looking better still. The area is still pinkish, but not crusty anymore.. that's a huge improvement from a week ago! I am still applying CS on her.
