I used to tease a few of my friends about how much they spoiled their cats. I had never owned a cat, was a self-professed dog lover, and I didn't understand cats, finding them aloof and cold.
Until my boyfriend, always a cat lover, found a black and white little ball of fur and insisted we take it in. To be honest, it didn't take much convincing as the little one was so cute and helpless.
I am officially converted. I now have two cats. The black and white kitten is now 1 year and two months. His name is Pepe. He was a little monster as a kitten. The vet said he has "orphan kitten syndrome," and that he didn't consider himself a cat, because he was never socialized with other kittens and was taken away from his mother too soon. As a result, he was quite aggressive. While that was frustrating at times, we just loved him. He has since calmed down completely. He loves spooning!!
My other fur baby is Sylvia. She is six months old, and has always had the sweetest disposition! She loves to be around us all the time! One look from her will make the hardest of hearts melt. Even Pepe, Mr. Independent, has grown to love her. She sure loves him. Anytime he's in the room, she wants to be by his side.
So that's our little family. Looking forward to learning more about cats here! The site looks very informative, and you guys seem very friendly!
Thanks!
