Dog rescued by kayak fisherman

This guy was fishing from his kayak when an injured dog swam up.  The dog's owner had been walking him when she was hit and killed by a drunk driver.  The injured dog jumped in the water.

Wow, that's amazing. Poor little dog and it's sad about his owner. Hope he finds a new home.

I thought the owner's family were looking after him now? It's such a sad story, and I'm so glad the dog found a good rescuer.

Yes, the owner's family is looking after the dog. It was one of the updates the uploader put in the comments on the video.

I saw a news story about this on TV.  Such a sad thing, but I am glad the dog is now back with the family.
