George of the Jungle
Rocky and Bullwinkle
The Jetsons

It's funny, even as an adult I still like some of these cartoons, particularly anything put out by Hanna Barbara.

The Flintstones (so cool that they still make them into vitamins!  DD takes them! LOL!)

The Jetsons

Loony Tunes

Inspector Gadget!! (He's still cool!)

Tom & Jerry

Rainbow Bright & Lady Lovely Locks when I was younger and those were big.

Yogi Bear

That's all I can think of for now.  I don't remember getting up just to watch them on Saturdays or anything.  Mom usually limited how much I could watch at once.

Most ALL the old cartoons!  Kids today do not know what they are missing. I remember waking up early Saturday for the 3-4 straight hours of such cartoons. Cartoons of today don't hold a candle to the old ones.

The Jetsons and the Flintstones are what come to mind first. When I was a little older I remember the Smurfs. :lol3:

Cartoons actually made in my era...Top Cat.

Many cartoons were made before I was born.  All the Bugs Bunny cartoons were, I think.

Of course, I forgot to mention Rocky and Bullwinkle, and Roger Rimshot ("That's Ramjet!!!").

What many people don't notice as children is that those Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, and such cartoons were produced as "short features," to be played before a movie in the theaters.  That's why they had such high production values, and why many of the verbal jokes were way over most kids' heads.
