I have a year and a half year old neutered male cat named Sebastian.  He had crystals in his urine about a year ago and last Wednesday he started to show the same symptoms so I took him into the vet the next afternoon.  They said something about crystals and white blood cells, gave me a medication to give him like last time and a shot.  Once I got him home, he seemed okay for awhile, then started to pee a little bit all over my apartment.  He's at least trying to use the litter box though, which makes me feel alittle bit better.  Last night was also the first time he'd pooped in at least 2 days, though I'm not sure if the UTI has anything to do with this.  I've been feeding him some pumpkin for that.  When I woke up this morning (Saturday) I noticed blood in Sebastian's urine.  He seems a little bit more lively than he has been, even talking more (which is normal for him, it's not normal when he gets real quiet) but a moment ago he started wailing in pain in the litter box.  I gave him some more medication and he seems to be okay for now.  I'm just so worried about him.  I'm not sure if it's getting worse and I should call the vet; the only issue is all the vet clinics around here are closed on weekends and I have no emergency clinic nearby (which i think is ridiculous, but that's besides the point).  Any advice would be very much appreciated!  I feel so bad for my baby boy. First off WELCOME to TCS :clap: I am sorry your Sebastian is having crystal's again. AND sometimes the constipation comes along with being in pain from the bladder inflammation and crystals. The pumpkin will help - good choice. If you are seeing blood in the urine and he is "wailing" in the pan - get him to the vet immediately...... I am sorry it is the weekend and these thing's always seem to happen when our vet is closed - but seriously it sound's like he is blocking and that cannot under any circumstances wait until Monday. That is an emergency - right away. :hugs::hugs: I am sending your boy mega vibes right now and please keep us posted on his status. :vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes:

Well I got a hold of the on call doctor at my vet's office yesterday afternoon and within the hour had Sebastian in the clinic getting checked out.  He wasn't blocked, in fact his bladder was totally empty she said.  He was just hurting because he felt the urge to urinate but had nothing in him and it hurt to try.  He perked up a little bit last night, getting all lovey again until the meds wore off.
He even ate some of the special food the doctor gave him.  As of this morning, there is no more blood in his pee and he's still eliminating outside his box (which is frustrating, but he can't help it) still no poop and he's kinda sitting around looking dazed.  But I'm taking him into the vet again tomorrow morning to see what they think.

Thanks for the help!
