Behavior Appropriate Toys.

With the first paycheck of the year coming in tomorrow it's about time I allowed myself to go crazy at the pet store for some more toys for Ichi and I was wondering if there were any specific toys anyone has had great success with.

Ichi has a big thing for feathers, but there are only so many teasers and chasers I can buy.

I got him a scratching post that had feather teasers attached to it but he didn't take to it.

Anything good for biting or the fact that on days he spends up to 8 hours alone and on those nights is just running around like a mad man.

do you have "da Bird" or "Cat Dancer"? those are the two top toys with my cats

Mine will play with anything.  The seem to like furry things like the mice.  They also love to chase the laser light and it wears them out too clap.gifThey will steal any of the dog toys and drag them around as well.  They love the feathery things too.  They like almost all of it ;)

I have a toy on an elastic rope that my guys loved when they were younger. It attaches to the top of a door with a clip and bounces around on the elastic when they bat it. I think it's the fact that it 'flies' away when they let go that fascinates them.

My first suggestions are mediocre at best. Parker likes an old shoelace with a dollar store mouse tied to it...or just the wand of wand toys. Basically a stick... laughing02.gif

A laser pointer can be fun though. I always wanted to get an RC mouse. I watched a delightful video of a kitten playing with one some time ago and I loved it. (Maybe more than the kitten).

I went crazy at the pet store once, and I've got every cat toy and do-dad there is pretty much, but what mine like best out of everything are those cheap-o $0.99 crinkle mice! laughing02.gif

The other most popular toys are Da Bird, the Cat Dancer, and the laser pointer.
