What animals are considered acceptable to eat is largely cultural. I'm sure some people feel about cows/chickens the way we feel about cats, and would say the same if I died from eating poisoned beef or chicken stew. . .I dunno. As long as I eat meat, I don't feel that I can judge anybody else for eating meat, no matter what kind of meat it is.

Although I will say that anyone who makes so many business enemies might want to be careful about what someone might slip into his stew.

Exactly. Consider that cows are sacred in India. An Indian seeing us eating a hamburger would actually be more painful than one of us seeing a Chinese man eating cat meat.
