1.  We went out for an expensive dinner last night; we both got sick.

2.  Went to another restaurant for a party, despite not feeling well (I also had a bad headache).

3.  On the way in, my new Xmas gift I treated myself to, a gorgeous designer necklace, broke in the parking lot, scattering dark beads all over.  Found 3 of them.

4.  As my stomach hurt so much, I couldn't sleep.  I finally fell asleep around 4 AM.

5.  When I was showering, Little Miss puked all over the bedroom, including: on DH's jacket (I had told him to put it away!); the dressing table, the upholstery on the bench, and on the fireplace and carpet.

6.  As I was sitting at the PC to scarf down a bowl of cereal (we were leaving to bead search in daylight, before they swept up the parking lot), Marge decided to pee--she raised her behind toward me, and sprayed before I could stop her--narrowly missing my glass and me, but on the desk and some other stuff.

On the bright side, we found all of the missing beads (5 of them)! On the down side, we both realized we're now officially members of the Old Buzzard's Club--we feel hung-over and tired on New Year's day, but never had a drink the night before!

Sounds like you SHOULD have had a drink or two.  Alcohol kills those nasty tummy bugs, you know?

You know, that did occur to me!
Actually, it could've have been far worse--I posted it sort of tongue-in-cheek for everyone's amusement--today was quite nice, despite only having 3 hours sleep and the runs!

What a crappy New Year's. But, think of it this way...you have 365  days to make it better. Maybe you got all your bad luck out of the way the first day? (Happy New Year!!)
