Good morning/afternoon.

Sorry this is late.....again.

Well, it's the last day of 2011.  Parties all around, fireworks, etc.

What are you doing tonight to celebrate?

I'm going to my friend's place for a party.  It should be fun.  I'm looking forward to seeing some old friends.

We'll be heading just next door to my aunt & uncle's place. Another aunt & uncle are also coming over and we'll all play games, drink numerous beverages and stuff our faces! Also want to watch the World Juniors Canada/USA game, GO CANADA!
I just poured my first mimosa, have some shooters in the fridge and I do believe my aunt has some fireworks for later!

I just got back home yesterday after being in Minnesota for Christmas, and tonight I'm going up to some dear friends who have a New Year's Eve party every year - they have a fabulous apartment up in Harlem. They always make a sit-down dinner, so we gather at 8:30, have hors d'ouevres and adult beverages, have a fabulous meal, maybe dessert, then we pour champagne and watch the ball drop on TV.

Everything usually breaks up about 12:15, 12:30. :D

Happy New Year, everyone!!:clap::nod:

We're staying home and will pig out on junk snack food!      This afternoon we've been watching SyFy channel with the old returns of Twilight Zone.  I never get tired of seeing those old shows.

Will try to stay up to watch the ball on Times Square --- but the last few years we haven't been able to make it!

Happy New Year Everyone!!!!

Tostitos and salsa and watching dexter. We will be asleep before midnight. Lol we are total fuddy duddies. New years isn't anything special for us except me switching calenders. I got an awesome kitty cartoon one for 2012.

Staying home. Watching TV, making cookies.  Probably will be watching the back of my eyelids when the new year starts.

We've always stayed home, but, this year, we went out for a special New Year's dinner (not so great; we feel a bit queasy, too), and, in about 30 minutes, we're going to a party at our fave restaurant (we opted out of their NY dinner; we don't like lobster, and it was too expensive anyway. We'll just schmooze at the 2 restaurants' bars, etc.).

Well, so much for THAT.  We went, but left early. My new Christmas gift to myself (the Nicky Butler necklace) broke as we were crossing the parking lot. Not bragging here, but it wasn't cheap, and should've been better made. I think I found all of the beads (try searching for dark purple beads in the dark!).  Tonight was a colossal waste of money and time--our dinner was very pricey; made us sick, and I've had a headache for 2 days now.

They can stick New Year's Eve in their horns and blow it! LOL

Fireworks are usual here on New Year's Eve, so we do what most pet owners do - stay home and try to keep the fur kid(s) as calm as possible. I know some people with dogs even have small "pet-owners-only parties" for that reason.

We stayed home last night, made some appetizer-type food with a big sandwich, watched movies until 2:30 or so and went to bed with the Twilight Zone Marathon on SyFy. (Boring, I know. But we enjoyed it.)

I was in my hometown in Virginia, so I ended up hanging out with a bunch of old friends from high school. We didn't do much, just watched a few movies, but it was great to see them all again.

I drove home from Jersey - left at 6:40am or so, got back to SC around 5:50pm. Went to 3 different houses for New Years with the bf, then came back and stayed up til 2am before passing out. Not sure how the heck I managed that. I think it caught up to me today :lol3:
