I have two cats that have troubles with UTI's.   The vet suggested the prescription diet food. However, I have one cat who is allergic to any type of Corn ingredient in foods.  Any foods I've found that are for UT health, they have corn in it.   The vet gave me treats which the other's love, but one doesn't and won't eat them.  Most treats for UT health come in small packages and are costly.  Is there maybe a dry food out there that doesn't have corn and helps prevent UTI's that's not ungodly expensive?  The vet suggested I get a water fountain. It would attract them to drink more water. Which I am going to get soon.  But I was hoping there would be a food that I could put all my cats (5) on. But am having a hard time finding any!  I'd be willing to do a treat of some kind, but I'd have to be able to purchase it in bulk and each pack would have to hold enough for 30 days.  That is what I'm finding hard to do as well.

Truly, the best preventative for urinary tract issues is a high-moisture diet; i.e. a canned or raw diet. Cats on kibble are chronically dehydrated, which both stresses their organs and concentrates their urine - it's the later that causes the urinary tract issues.

Good luck with your boys!
I hope you find some of this info helpful!

I would also agree that an all wet diet would be best for your five kitties. There are urinary diet's that are not prescription diet's that you can buy at pet stores. They also make a canned version of these diet's as well. I don't think corn in particular would cause a UTI - but many cat's are highly allergic to corn in food. Cat's really don't drink as much water as they should and that is why it is important to try to add some moisture in their diet's, i.e. wet food/or raw food. If you get a pet fountain, stay away from plastic. And clean them often as they can harbor a lot of bacteria. Good luck with your kitties :vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes:
