Where my cats are
I just took both cats to the vet with DD in tow.

I was afraid DD would stress them out more; but they actually seemed to appreciate another familiar presence there.  I stuck DD in her stroller and carried one cat at a time in.  One of the techs saw me coming up so she held the door for me and then took Noodles to the exam room.  Another girl carried both cats back to the car for me too.  She told me I was brave!

DD was a hoot. She got plenty of lovin in on Mooch.  Probably got to touch Mooch more than she does in a typical month.  Mooch's paw/leg is sprained from 2 weeks ago.  The vet said it can just take longer to heal because it's hard to limit them from jumping.  She has lost nearly a pound from last year; which is very good news.  I think they said she was 14lb 3oz. She has always been heavier than Noodles.  Noodles is about the same weight at 14lb 6oz and hasn't lost any.  Both are healthy other than Mooch's paw.  Both need to loose some more weight of course.  But they are big cats anyway too.

Funny part. When we got home DD had dozed off in her car seat so I got the girls in first.  I left them in their kennels when I went to get her. So I came in with DD and she FREAKED out crying "Kitties!  Kitties!" and pointing to the garage door.  I think she thought we left them!!
She was happy to see me let them out.  Both girls are currently vanilla'd and relaxing in the kitchen.  I've gated DD and her energy in the living room while they check stuff out and relax for a bit.

Coincidentally, I went to the vet today as well, but I only took one cat, and the SO was with me. I feel sorry for myself when I  have to take two (I have three cats in total) by myself! I can't imagine adding a toddler into the mix, so yeah, I think you're brave, too!

Sending vibes that Mooch's paw heals soon!

Goodness, you are brave!  I can't imagine taking more than one cat at a time; that must have been a long ride, no matter how close the vet is.  I would have been fine bringing my great-nephew along...it's all that pitiful wailing and meowing from the the back that I can't take.
I'm glad DD made the situation easier for all.

Hehe... Fortunately Mooch is good in the car. She usually cries for a minute or two and then she's quiet the rest of the time.  Noodles yowls the whole time.  DD was fascinated with having them in the back seat with her.  Mooch was sick once so I had to take her to their Saturday hours at their northern location.  It's about 45 minutes from here and she was great!  Barely cried and we even went into petsmart afterward!  (She was in her kennel the whole time.  Petsmart is just a few minutes from the vet and a good drive from here too; so it was just easy to grab her and run in for food when I was right there anyway.)

Oh she is!  Her first word besides Mama and Dada was Kitty!

I think if I ever had to take 3 I'd get a luggage cart or something and just stack them up!
