Cat Beds and those Special Napping Places

Your cats are lucky!

What great napping places!!

 

All of my cats like to nap on their cat trees.  We have two and they tend to pile up wherever we are...

 

 

Of course, the basket bed is a favorite too...

 

Stealing Rosco's bed is always good too...(helps that it is right in front of the fire!)

 

The new hammock has been a huge hit...

 

There is always OUR bed...

 

 

And when they don't want to be there, they just curl up in the middle of a stuffed snake on one of the kids beds ;)

 

 

If all else fails...they just pass out on the big fluffy white rug in front of our woodstove.  :)

Aww I think kitties napping are some of my favorite pictures to take.

 

My bed is definitely their favorite spot, I have to fight to have somewhere for me to sleep sometimes.

A few of Bowser's favorite spots.

He loves sleeping on blankets and pillows on the floor. If there aren't any around, he'll lay on a pile of laundry instead.

Back at my old house. Both boys had their own chairs to nap on.

 

He is mostly found sleeping on his kitty perch by the window. I don't have any pictures of him actually sleeping on it, though!

 

And this is his new favorite lounge spot. I found a huge coffee bag at a scrap shop and wrapped some Christmas presents in it. Bowser loves it and sleeps on it every night now! I'm thinking about sewing it into a kitty bed and putting a pillow in it.

he has his own bed but he never sleep there.... !

In my experience, there is a pecking order in a group of cats, and there are preferred sleeping locations around the house.  But those locations are time-sensitive.  In other words, the little cat condo by the back window is preferred in the afternoon, when the sun is on it.  The big bed is preferred at night.  And it gets very complicated.

I had dumped my laundry on the unmade bed, and this is what I found when I went back to fold it.

Boots likes to sleep in this cardboard box one of my textbooks came in, especially after I put his favorite blanket in it. Before I woke them up by coming over to take the picture, Kramer had his head on Boots' front paws. His favorite place to sleep is wherever Boots is.



When he was younger, Boots liked to sleep on my lap more. This is him sleeping in the crook of my leg.

Daymon seems to enjoy the back of the couch:

Magnus loves his window perch and will spend hours in it every day napping, watching the world, or playing with his toys.

(I can't seem to photograph him while he's sleeping however. He always wakes up and wants to play).
