Cat Beds and those Special Napping Places

Where do your cats like to take a nap???

One of BooBoo's favorite spots is the litter bench. The litter box is inside. He likes to perch on top so that he can survey his world.



When we installed the bay window in the living room, one of my GFs made a pillow for the kids out of one of our old bed sheets and some matting. They approve of the pillow and, on sunny days, we'll always find several cats napping in the window.



Put a queen-size pillow on a stand and the cats will come! Here's Mollipop in the computer room. It's just an old stand with a pillow. All the cats love it. They'll spend hours staring out the window in the summertime.



Here's their kitty couch.....yes, it's kind of bare, isn't it?



But see what happens if you drape a throw and some pillows on the couch? Instant napping place! Here's Ms. Pepe taking a well-

deserved nap. All of the cats love to nap on throws...it's warm and cosy for them.



Another of Boo's favorite napping places....it's an old wicker clothes basket with a queen-size pillow inside. We have it next to the register in the living room. He loves it there. We've had as many as five cats curled up in that basket at one time! Here's Boo with his mom, Whisper, lying behind him.



Here's another favorite spot....their green "Quiet Please" pillow. It's been taken over by every cat at one time or another. When Tabby came into the house, it became her pillow for quite a while.



And sometimes more than one cat! Here's our Rainbow Baby Banshee with Whisper and BooBoo napping together around the pillow.

What great napping places!!

All of my cats like to nap on their cat trees.  We have two and they tend to pile up wherever we are...



Of course, the basket bed is a favorite too...



Stealing Rosco's bed is always good too...(helps that it is right in front of the fire!)



The new hammock has been a huge hit...



There is always OUR bed...



And when they don't want to be there, they just curl up in the middle of a stuffed snake on one of the kids beds



If all else fails...they just pass out on the big fluffy white rug in front of our woodstove.

BlueRexBear.....we have those pink beds like yours and our cats LOVE them. We have them all over the house. LOL

and your last picture with Meowgie, your other kitty looks guilty and Mr. meowige looks dead. It really made me laugh!

Aww I think kitties napping are some of my favorite pictures to take.

My bed is definitely their favorite spot, I have to fight to have somewhere for me to sleep sometimes.

A few of Bowser's favorite spots.

He loves sleeping on blankets and pillows on the floor. If there aren't any around, he'll lay on a pile of laundry instead.


Back at my old house. Both boys had their own chairs to nap on.



He is mostly found sleeping on his kitty perch by the window. I don't have any pictures of him actually sleeping on it, though!



And this is his new favorite lounge spot. I found a huge coffee bag at a scrap shop and wrapped some Christmas presents in it. Bowser loves it and sleeps on it every night now! I'm thinking about sewing it into a kitty bed and putting a pillow in it.

he has his own bed but he never sleep there....  !

In my experience, there is a pecking order in a group of cats, and there are preferred sleeping locations around the house.  But those locations are time-sensitive.  In other words, the little cat condo by the back window is preferred in the afternoon, when the sun is on it.  The big bed is preferred at night.  And it gets very complicated.

I had dumped my laundry on the unmade bed, and this is what I found when I went back to fold it.
