Anybody else working? Rick took the whole week off this week, so he could spend some time getting things done around the house. Today he went down to spend the day with the grandchildren, so he won't be home until later on tonight. The kids forgot to take some of their things home, so Rick took care of all that, too. Got everything in his truck and left around 7:00.

I have to work Tues, Wed, and Thurs and then I'm taking my last Personal Day for Friday. We get two Personal Days that we can use throughout the year. I always save my second for the last working day of the year and then I can have off right before New Years.

But I really didn't feel like coming into work this morning!

Dana and I are both working today, but at least I'm working from home!
I'm backing up a LOT of people who have this week off though.

I go back to school on Monday. My husband goes back to work tomorrow, but his mom (who he works for) said he could have Thursday and Friday off if he wants, she just needs him there tomorrow.

We have a two-week Christmas break, so basically I'm just doing a little bit for school and around the house every day.

I went back in today, and I don't mind it. Taking too many days off from work with nothing major planned can get boring fast for me, lol.

We were at my sister's place in OKC when dispatch called me on Sunday.  I wasn't supposed to go to work until Tuesday night, but apparently some stores sold more than they expected and had stock problems, so they put on emergency loads for them.  They offered me double pay, plus an extra day of paid vacation (to be used in the future), to come in on Monday afternoon.  They've been good to me, so there was no way I could turn them down.

I have to go back to work "officially" tonight, but I'll be done Thursday night, probably.  Unless the schedule changes!

DH is back to work today (I'm a stay-at-home-mom).  He's got a cold too.  He might have called out; but they have this rule that if you call out the day after a paid holiday you don't get paid for the holiday.  Stupid rule if you ask me.  Christmas is their busy time and it still is for a few more weeks; but he's already worked like crazy this last month and got called in on Saturday too.  We were really looking forward to a 3 day weekend together.  At least we still have one this weekend coming!!  I didn't want him to go back yet either!

I'm going back Tuesday after New Years, and I've been off since Friday before Christmas.  I have gotten quite comfy not having to get up with the alarm and go to work, and I think it's going to be a mad house when I do go back.  So, I'd have to say, even though I haven't been doing anything "exciting," I'm not looking forward to going back.

Well, it turned out to be a little longer week than I expected, but when I got home this morning about 2 a.m., I have almost 5 days off before I have to go back to work.  This is our slack season, so we call it our "on the job vacation."

With my job I am lucky to get an afternoon. i worked Christmas Eve and all this week. I can have tomorrow off just because there is no business. If I don't work I don't get paid.

I am only off Monday....it's the busiest time at work right now, no one is allowed any time off except for the official holidays- this Monday and next :( they usually let us off a little early on Friday though
