You can really see it all black in the east. I love these photo's from out in space somewhere.
Is this a fur picture?
Maybe I'm blind but what am I looking at
Wow, that is intense! I have seen one of the US all lit up, it is very interesting to see one with a good portion of the east blacked out.

someone may have doctored up that picture I suppose...it almost looked real to me....
No, you can see it is different from the one I have if you look closely enough, there are brighter lights along the coast of Florida, and more lights in Southern California...it is a different photo. These are taken by the LANDSAT satellite.

Yup, it was a HUGE blackout! Northern NJ, NY state, Connecticut, Western PA, Ohio, Michigan, Illinois, Ontario...for starters.
