My  new cat has very strange taste.  She has no interest in canned food.  Nor roast chicken, turkey, ham, tuna or liver.

On the other hand, she seems to love spicy enchalada sauce.  This was an accident and I will curtail it.

Is there something wrong?  What can I do to make her like treats.  I feel deprived in not being able to spoil her.

Welcome to TCS!  And welcome to the club.  Not all cats like canned food, or cat treats.  I can't say for sure that my Stinkpot likes enchilada sauce, but he doesn't like canned food, doesn't even like most kibble, is very particular about his treats, doesn't like cheese, yogurt, liverwurst, etc.  He DOES, however, like Tuna. Hmmm...  Maybe there IS something wrong with your girl
(just kidding)

So, what ARE you feeding her?

Hi and welcome. One of mine will not touch any human food, or any cat treats. She will only eat kibble with an occasional mouthful of canned cat food. On hte other hand, I once had a cat who would eat anything if it was covered in ketchup! There is no accounting for tastes.

Works for Wesley and Buttercup:

1) Put it on your finger.  This increases the tasty coefficient by a factor of 10 according to my two, and makes it "finger licking good".

2) If its dry, throw it across the floor at speed.  This makes it exciting to eat, and what these two would leave in a bowl, they will race each other to get if thrown somewhere, heh.   Had to do that with the Blue Buffalo freeze dried pieces of kibble that they didn't recognize as food at first since its a different consistency/smell than the rest of the kibble.   Now they eat it no problemo.
