I took Ricky and Rocco to the vet yesterday for a well kitty visit and first shots.
Mr. Rocco (grey) weighed in at a beefy 1 lb 10 oz and was eligible for a vaccine. Little Mr. Ricky weighs 1 lb 1oz (so proud he finally made it over the 1 lb mark!!) and the vet said she wants to give him another week for his first shot. She said he is doing really good but there is still potential for him to relapse. (No, he wont, says me!) She also told me that she is so pleased with how they are doing, because 3 weeks ago she was really worried that Ricky wouldn't make it. She didn't tell me that at the time of course!
A couple other interesting things she said: She thinks they are at least a week younger than her original estimate, so probably only around 7 weeks now, that Ricky is a full week behind, development wise (which is what I figure, though he is finally starting to catch up!).
She also gave me warning that bottle babies go through a "terrible 2" phase around 6-8 months when they become serious trouble makers. haha
After we finished with the doctor the office staff took the kittens out and kept us there playing for a full half hour. : ) My boys are loved!
Thanks everyone for being so helpful and supportive!!
