I think Tolly and Beeshee Marie have become fast friends.  In their own ways, they will speak of the people who loved them so and suffer so much at their loss.

But they know we will all be together again someday.

God Bless.

Dearest Tolly I miss you so much sometimes I just don't know how to bear it. I'm sorry to sound so selfish, I know you are happy with your beloved Bibbs and your precious Ootay, and I'm sure you've enjoyed meeting the rest of the gang at my Bridge, Baby, Sissy and Squeaky.

You were always so brave, all the struggles you had with your health, taking pills multiple times a day every day for your whole life, all the trips to the vet, and the longer trips to Cornell, but there were many more happy days than sick days, I know that, and you were always so sweet and tolerant of everything that had to be done to you.

Last week I had the flu, and how I longed for you to be there Nursing me back to health as you always did so well. You were always so concerned with the health of me and the other cats, my own special Nurse Tolly.

I appreciate your little visits, I feel you in spirit and am so grateful when I feel your little face rub against mine, when I am missing you the most.

I am truly glad, truly I am, glad that you are free of all the troubles your beautiful body gave you all your life. But I miss you so much. I just miss you so much.

Remember this little movie we made of you and me one day when you were, as always, on my lap while I was at the computer? We made it special for your Auntee Karen, I took the pictures with my web cam as we were writing to her.

Thank you for visiting me as often as you do, my dearest Tolly boy, my Sweet Pea, my sweet boy. I miss you so much.

PS Mazy misses you too, can you please spend some time with her, too? I know you must be very busy at our Bridge, but you can give Mazy some of my times, I know she misses you as much as I do.

I try not to read the threads on this forum because they just upset me. This one made me cry. I lost my Harley a couple weeks before your Tolly, also from what we believe to be Cancer. Like you, it was very quick from when I first realized he was sick, until the end ( a week later ). Hopefully both our boys are happy now. I am so sorry for your loss.

Thank you. I'm sorry for your loss of your Harley. Gosh I miss him so much. He never even got to be old. I'm glad he never had to suffer anything terrible at the end, but I just miss him so much.

This time of year, as the angle of the sun changes, it shines onto my bed in the morning, right about the time the cats get their breakfast. This was one of Tolly's Favorite Things. He LOVED to hang out in the unmade bed in a puddle of sunlight. Nothing would move him, not even breakfast.

Can't I eat here?

Pleeeeese, Mom?

needless to say..

Who wouldn't want breakfast in bed?  Especially with a ray of sunshine to go with it.  I know you still miss him so much
.  Gone but never forgotten.  I sit here looking at Sven's
empty bed and start to tear up
even though I know he's free of his old creaky body now.  It's still so hard.

How are the girls doing?  Have they adjusted?

Thanks Sally. Mazy is doing much better, she really missed Tolly for a long time. I think he is checking in with her more now. Jennie was just happy to slide into the Top Cat position, and Queen Eva didn't seem to suffer much over the loss either.

As long as I am on memories about Tolly with food, I found this little story, too

I have seen Tolly eat this particular food with great enjoyment, but it was not what he wanted this morning

What IS that stuff?

Isn't there something better up there?

I'm NOT eating that.

(Even after fluffing it up and offering it hand fed)

Yuck. I know I won't like it.

I want what she's having

"Won't you try it Tolly......?"

You have GOT to be kidding me!

Kitten Pictures! On Sunday I celebrated what would have been Tolly's 13th Gotcha Day. I dug out my boxes of pre-digital age pictures, and discovered to my joy that I do have a few pictures from when he was a kitten. Not many, as I was very poor then and film and developing was beyond my means most of the time. None from his first days, when he was so tiny, but I found a few from when he was 3 months old.

Tolly Sweet Pea at 3 months old

Tolly loved Ootay and Bibbs so much, and they loved him. Tolly was their second Red Boy. Ootay and Bibbs were raised by Baby, my first Soul Mate Red Boy. They, in turn raised Tolly.

All day on Sunday I celebrated all the love and joy and wonder and laughter that Tolly brought me. It made me happy to do so.

Then, when I came home from work last night, and saw the piles of pictures and stories, I missed him so much it felt like he had just left me. I cried for hours, and I am still crying.

Dearest Tolly Sweet Pea. I miss you so much. I'm glad you are safe with Bibbs and Ootay whom you love so deeply. I am thankful for the 12 years 2 months and 17 3/4 days I had with you. But I miss you so much.

Tolly went to the Bridge on November 29, 2011. By the time his cancer showed itself it had taken over his body, and I had only 19 days with him from the first sign of illness until he asked to be released.
