Kitten's pointed tail tip

I remember reading briefly somewhere about a kitten's tail fur being pointy until it gets older. For the life of me, I cannot find this blurb/info anywhere! I keep coming up with issues to the tail, not the fur tip!

 

Can someone tell me about what age the fur of the tail fully rounds out? Its a curiousity that's bugging me! lol

It doesn't always happen. I have several with pointy tails, the youngest is a year, the oldest is 7. Hair growth patterns are hereditary and just don't always subscribe to supposed common knowledge.

My 3 year old cat has a pointy tail, and my 1 year old had a rounded tail from the time I got him at 8 weeks.

i just posted something similar to this "change after spay" it was titled. I've noticed with a kitten i used to have, after her spay her tail was always up. Before Ella got spayed (yesterday) her tail was never up just down and "normal" I'm not worried about it. i'm just confused i guess on why this happens..to my cat's...
