Easy one:

Are YOU ready for the holiday season? Are you prepared for any holiday stress (family, traffic, weather, etc.) How about meals, are you prepared for them?

I absolutely hate going to stores now. LOL

Pretty much at this point. I think.

I have to finish shopping for my mom. And my mom's cat. I'd like to get Muffin some toys, some cans of food and her milk.

There are a few things I'd like to get for our cats, too. They got their cat tree and we also bought them a bed. The bed will be wrapped up and we'll see how good the girls are about unwrapping presents.

We had given money to the kids after the flood back in September when their basement got flooded....we called it an early Christmas present. But I hate the thought of them not having anything on Christmas. So I'm going to our natural food store over lunch today to pick up a gift certificate for out DIL (she's a big fan of that store). And our son wants a new hard drive for his computer, so we're going to give him a gift certificate for his hard drive. Still have to take care of that. The grandkids are finished, except for wrapping.

I finally got Rick his truck ramps last night. We have a horrid time trying to get the lawn tractor and the rototiller in and out of his truck. So I decided to give him ramps for part of his Christmas present this year. I know, it's not a very neat present, but it's something that he really does need and he would never buy them on his own. I have a few other things, too, so hopefully, he'll be OK with his ramps. They're in the basement under a pile of drywall...and yes, I had a devil of a time getting his truck down to the store to pick them up, get them home and in the basement under the drywall pile without him noticing anything! They're not getting wrapped either....just a big red bow will have to suffice.

As for the dinner, the menu is finished and I have my timeline written down, too. I just need to pick up the roast on Friday at the meat market and then grab the produce on Saturday morning for Sunday. Rick will wrap all the gifts and I will wrap his.

I'm really praying for good weather so that everybody can make it to our house on Christmas Day! That's probably the worst thing right now. Although if it does snow or we get freezing rain or something, well Monday is another day and most of my family is off work for most of the next week. It will out work out.

I just bought the last of what I need for Christmas cookies.  I finsihed gifts and cards this weekend.  I need to wrap and bake.  I'm only doing dessert and 2 veggies for Christmas dinner this year so that's no big deal.  I'm ready to relax and enjoy!

We're going to our niece's for Christmas dinner.     Got presents for the kids, and that's about all we're doing.   New Years is never a big deal here --- we stay home, have dinner and rarely make it til midnight to see the ball go down at Times Square.

I'm pretty much ready. The BF and I are spending the holidays at my mothers house, about 4 hours away from where we live now. I'm going to make a few homemade appetizers for Christmas Eve so I'll do that Saturday. The rest is all done. Now I just need to hope for no snow so we can drive home without any problems!

Over the river and through the woods...
Ok, I'm in the minority but, NOT EVEN CLOSE!!
The house is mainly clean (just a few throw rugs to scrub and touch up cleaning) and everything is baked but DH doesn't get his commission check until Thursday night, so Friday will be the mad dash to get gift shopping done, market run, gift wrapping and putting up the tree. SO much to look forward to. I'm hosting Christmas Eve dinner so I won't be able to relax until late Saturday night. Then we'll probably have to go to MIL's house to help her finish cleaning her house for Christmas dinner. Oh joy. It's our own fault......

I don't have my food shopping done.  I had planned to roast a turkey, but may switch to Cornish game hens.

I'm somewhat prepared. I have a ton of baking to do but I have to do my gestational diabetes test on Thurs. so I'll have to wait til the test is over. I'll be too tempted to eat a ton of cookies lol I did get the brisket smoked so at least that's done!!

I went to the mall with my best friend tonight...NEVER AGAIN! :thud: It was such a madhouse tonight since it's Christmas week. (I had already completed my shopping list, but she needed help with hers).

As far as Christmas goes:I'm hosting Christmas dinner at my house this year, so I'm hoping everything goes well and everyone behaves themselves!
Christmas Eve a few of my family members and I are going to my sister's house for a small dinner and to exchange gifts with my immediate family. Afterwards, my nephew is spending the night with me (we're going to make ornaments). Christmas morning, we're going to wake up and cook breakfast/exchange stockings, and then later on Christmas Day, all of my family is coming over to my house for a lasagna dinner that night. (I have to make one small trip to the grocery store, and then I'll have everything prepared to cook! I still need to wrap presents and put the finishing touches on my decorations.)
