Spoke to the nurse at the retina center.   Dr. wanted to know exactly what I saw Friday night and if I had any blocked vision, blackout, flashes of light, etc.    No -- all that happened was blurry vision for about an hour or so.   (just in the one eye that had been operated on)   He changed my Feb. appointment to January, but since I didn't have any bad symptons it may have been just a fluke.     It was kind of like when you get up in the morning and your eyes don't adjust right away.   But since I had that retina problem 2 years ago I don't want to take any chances.  It's been fine since Friday night so the dr doesn't seem to feel it needs immediate attention (unless of course something else happens).  He's away from Christmas to New Years, so my appointment is Jan. 9.

Thanks everyone for your good vibes!   It is so much appreciated.

Over the river and through the woods...
I'm not sure what your symptoms are (other than blurry vision) but my MIL had eye problems about a year ago. Her's were seeing spots and blurry vision and she was afraid it was a problem with her retinas. Turns out she had an eye infection. and antibiotics cleared it up.

I get blurry vision in my left eye a lot, and I thought it was my contacts, so I started switching them every day (same prescription in both eye) but it was always the left eye that started fogging up around 3:00 pm. I mentioned it to my eye doctor a few weeks ago when I went for my annual exam, and he said it could be cause by sinuses. I've been taking a sinus pill every day and it's helped. I only have that problem every now and then.

Hopefully it's just something simple like that!_

Hope everythng is ok with your eye.  I've had a lot of eye problems myself, so I know how the least little difference in your vision sets off alarm bells in your head.  I'm sure everything will be ok.

:vibes::vibes::vibes: It must be so alarming when something like that happens after an eye surgery. I imagine that could be normal :dk: some blurriness like that. I really hope that all will be alright as I am sure it will :cross: More :hugs: and :vibes: Keep us updated :hugs:

Thanks to all of you for your thoughts.  My eye has been fine since last Friday.     But I am seeing the retina dr. on Jan. 9.

I really watch this carefully after having the partially detached retina just 2 years ago.      They can do wonders now, but you just can't take any chances.

Here... or There... Hmmm
I have had HUGE issues with my eyes my whole life. I've had glasses since 4, highly myopic, high likelihoods for retinal detachment and lattice degeneration. My DR has told me for years that if I had certain episodes it could be my retina detaching and call him no matter the time or day. I had an issue a few years ago, much to what you had and after intricate testing it was deemed an ocular migraine. No headache was present at all. Maybe ask if that could have been your issue as well. It only happened if I've put a lot of stress on my eyes, but I still worry a lot as I'm scared of the retinal detachment. So, be safe with your eyes and always get them checked.

Good luck! Hopefully it won't be anything too serious!

I too have had problems with my eyes since an early age. I find it hard to focus on things at times, things sometimes go blurry, it partially affected my hand-eye coordination, had to train alot to get it better. I was prescribed glasses but told that after I turned thirteen there would be no use for them (?) I wore them quite a bit until I turned thirteen but have not worn them since. It's quite interesting at times, being able to blur my vision and make things look as though they have moved, it's fun when I can do it of my own free will but not when I can't. Anyway, good luck with everything!

I had partial retina detachment just 2 years ago and was operated on for it.    We were on a cruise in the Caribbean and my left eye vision was all distorted, straight lines were curvy, etc.    I had to wait til we got home to see the dr and he diagnosed partially detached retina and sent me to the retina surgeon the same day.  He operated 2 days later.    Recovery took around 2 months - it's a slow process, but it followed exactly what he said it would. Vision started improving from the top to the bottom, very slowly.    At the beginning I saw him every 2 months, then six months.     This last blurriness was nothing like the retina detachment, maybe just a fluke, but he is checking it on Jan 9.  He had noticed what he called "puckering", which he thought might eventually need surgery.  Rikght now the vision in the eye is just what it has been, no blackouts, flashes, floaters, etc.
