What holiday gifts are you getting?

Well, we all know what RuthyB got! LOL!!!! For the rest of us, do you know what you're getting?

Here's what DH has gotten me (we don't surprise each other; that was disastrous):

Gorgeous necklace from eBay:

A slate cheese board (sorry, no pic), but it's nice. It had erasable, stand-up tags that you write the names of the cheeses on, and cheese knives.

An iced tea maker:

(BTW, I bought one of these for my friend; she loves it!)

A Double-Dipper mini Crock-Pot (it's a tiny Crock-pot that you melt dips, fondue, etc. and it keeps them hot. We had a fondue party last night, and used it--nice!):

I also buy myself a gift or two. I also have gift money from earlier gifts to use up. Ebay again!!!! laughing02.gif  I did buy myself a triple-crock Bella buffet server. You keep the 3 foods hot--kind of like 3, 2.5 qt. Crock-Pots in a row. When we entertain, we usually have buffets. This should be very useful.

I am not getting anything. No one in my family can afford it. We just all pitched and got stuff for the kids. (My niece and nephew).

I know I am getting a spice rack that I really needed.. I am getting tired of spices falling on my head each time I grab them from the cabinet! lol.

everything else is a surprise.. I am really hoping for another picture wall calendar from my nieces.. it was beautiful seeing a new pic each month at work

Nothing that I'm aware of. Current situations haven't really left me feeling Christmas-y, and my family usually insists on saving the money for bills and stuff (since $ is tight with my parents in recent years).

I'm going to NJ and getting myself a new tattoo while I'm there as a gift to myself though.

I'm pretty sure I am going to get Dolphin Tale! clap.gif

A very close friend of mine got me a kindle. Df got me the last two harry potter movies to complete my collection. My mom normally gives us cash so all any Christmas money we get pays bills so I can do woo woo grocery shopping with paychecks. Lol

If I get anything from the evil in laws (I hope I don't) I don't know what it is. I still don't want to see them holidays or not.

DH and I went shopping yesterday and bought ourselves smartphones. Our ancient cellphones were dying (my "i" key rarely worked and it would freeze on me all the time), and our contract with AT&T had just expired. So we went for a cheaper plan with a different carrier. Now I just need to figure out all the cool things it can do. First thing I did this morning - wrote myself a to do list on it. Last night I set up a new gmail account. This could be a lot of fun.

Rick is giving me the Nook Tablet. I also know about the new Stephen King book that he's giving me. And a gift card to Barnes and Noble. The kids are giving me the extra storage disk for the Tablet and a gift card to Barnes and Noble. Other than that, I'm not really sure.

Oh, and Rick told me that Hannah (the Tucson) is a combination Christmas gift and birthday present since my birthday is in January. smile.gif

There are always lots of surprises but here are the things I know about.

From Dana: A large framed Angelina Wrona print, Redemption. clap.gifAlso 3 tops that I picked out. I have to pick out my own clothes. biggthumpup.gif

From Mom: A cute pink purse and 2 pairs of jeans. (I always have to try pants on because different makes fit so differently.) I also got my camera lens early last month from mom.

DH and I decided we didn't really need much this year so we went and bought ourselves expedition backpacks. (He bought mine, I bought his - the cashier thought it was cute. laughing02.gif)

One of our goals as a couple since we first got together has always been to do multi-night backcountry hiking trips. I used to do these trips when I was younger (with borrowed gear) and loved it. He's always wanted to but never had the chance. so we went and got fitted for packs and plan to take our first 3-day hiking trip this summer.

My mom keeps telling me that I'm not getting much this year because they've had to help me out a lot in the past month, they paid my rent for December and then paid my first/last month's rent at my new place (I was NOT expecting that), but she always says that and I still end up with more stuff than I need.

I think I am getting a KitchenAid food processor that I asked for - I pointed it out to my mom every time we were in WalMart (It was on clearout for less than 1/2 price!). My dad and I were shopping for my mom when I made him buy me a calendar by my favourite photographer. For a combined Christmas/birthday present (my birthday is in January) they are getting me a new couch because they insist that I should throw out the ones I have now when I move - and they're right on that, lol.

I know what the dogs are getting from them, Sadie is getting a new collar and leash set, they're getting a set of jerky treats (I picked them out so I know they weren't made in China). Other than that I don't know... my mom said that she finished up Christmas shopping for the pets today, lol.

I'm not completely sure, but I'm pretty sure the BF bought me a sewing machine. I've been wanting a new one for a while. My mom bought me a set of folding camping chars (the ones that collapse into a carry bag), and although I told her not to get me anything, she has a great eye for deals and always picks up presents throughout the year

I bought my own Christmas gift.  Plants vs. Zombies for the DS.  My daughter is getting a 3DS so I get her old one!

Hubby just bought me a bedroom suite. It will be delivered on the 30th. I suspect he bought me a kitchenaid pro- mixer. We saw one on sale for $200 off reg price. He said he didn't buy me anything else, wink.gif but he was hiding something on the trunk of the car.

I've gotten my secret santa presents, and my daughters have got me some small items from the dollar store. My oldest got me a lovely throw blanket with kitties on it. Funny cuz I got her and her sister the same throw, different print (Ken's had horses, Kay's had dogs).

Through the womans shelter here, my girls and I were blessed to be part of their Christmas program. The program is: the family writes wish lists, and then are sponsored by someone/a family/a company and they buy us gifts. We've received them and they are under the tree. We have opened a couple gifts though.

I received grocery money, gift certificates for my daughters and I to get our hair cut, giftcard for the drugstore, walmart and a candle (that was a gift for my daughter but she gave it to me).

I got some lovely sentimental gifts from a dear friend of mine

and the kitties have recieved a couple amazing gifts from TCS people...... 3mos of food and a stainless steel fountain AND their shots and check up tomorrow..... rub.gif

I honestly haven't asked for anything this year (money's tight for everyone in my family), and that aside, I really don't need much. I've bought a few small make up things for myself while I was out shopping for my family members, but that's about it. (Looking forward to SS as well)

I think the best Christmas present that I'll be receiving this year that I know about would be that my nephew is staying with me for Christmas Eve/Christmas Day! We plan to make ornaments, cook, exchange stockings, etc. I'm happy to know I won't be alone on Christmas (something I wasn't looking forward to) and that my precious nephew wants to spend part of his holiday with me and the furbabies. I couldn't ask for a more sweet gift! heartpump.gif (We're going to a small dinner at my sister's house Christmas Eve, so afterwards, he's going to stay at my home and help me get prepared to host all of our immediate & extended family on Christmas Day. smile.gif )

I have one...I can't live without it!!

My birthday is the beginning of december, so I get my christmas themed gifts then...my husband always gets me a Dickens village house, this year it was the "Tea House" It's awesome! For Christmas I asked santa for winter compression pants for running, and a pair of running gloves with lights on them. (I run in the very early am!) I know he got me a new TV for our room since the 9 inch one we've had for 19 years is almost completely black on the screen, it won't be big or expensive but heck, if I can SEE a show-I'm good! He also got me a lighthouse ornament with a working lens! I already got a marble rolling pin that I've coveted for years, a julienne peeler, and silicone cooking utensils. I'm hoping for a gift card for Marshalls or Kohls, I think my daughter may be doing that for me.

You will love, love, love your KA Pro! Mine is now almost two years old....Rick got it for me as part of my Christmas present two years ago, simply because Williams-Sonoma had them at an insanely cheap price, plus the rebate. And I love mine! It always gets a good work-out! Enjoy!
