My weekend starts when l leave work today at 2.p.m, so from there i'm meeting one of the girls for a late lunch, then tomorrow a couple of coffees and a catch up with my sister, then a bit retail therapy and home to the kiddiwinks to catch up on my t.v. recordings
Nothing. I have a Dr appt on Wednesday so no running around except my usual Friday gas up, groceries running. Thankfully the post office is on the way to the store or I would probably have a fit lol. I'm still getting used to how the new truck uses gas which is way different from the explorer and ranger. Those I knew by quarter tank how many miles I got. This one is all out of whack. Lol
Oh I just remembered. Our running boards come today. We had to order new ones so df doesn't have to boost me into the truck in a couple months and so he wont worry about me slipping when it snows. Lol. That's my exciting weekend. Getting running boards lol.
Tonight we have a Christmas party, tomorrow is my 30th birthday celebration day so there are surprises all day in store for me! Sunday, church, my mom is visiting in the afternoon and then another Christmas party at night.
No time to think or breathe, not to mention do laundry..lol
When you are unemployed, every day is a weekend day!
Seriously though, I'll be helping DH fix our hot tub (the pump went out on it again), help him hang our bathroom door (I just finished staining it), and start installing all the wood trim in the house (we had removed all of the painted trim and bought new trim which I finished staining a few weeks ago). So basically, I get to work with power tools this weekend.
Oh yeah, I need to put out more Christmas decorations. I finished painting my Christmas village houses 2 days ago (project started 15 years ago), and got those on the fireplace mantel, but it's not enough bling in the house.
hmm.. my weekend started yesterday as I took off thursday, friday and monday.
Yesterday i went to the cemetary to visit my grandparents, and drove by their house and neighborhood which I havent done in years.ssss
Today, I am feeling under the weather, so I am going to get gas and get a card and stickers for my niece who's going to get tubes in her ears and anoids taken out on tuesday
Tomorrow, no plans. Perhaps a movie marathon?!
Sunday, volunteer in the morning, heading to my parents to make honey balls and celebrate my other niece's 6th birthday.
Monday, spending the day with my other grandmother, probably take her out for lunch or something.
No real plans thankfully! We do have to go to the shelter tomorrow for an adoption, and I'm hoping there will be a few more adoptions, so we'll see. Otherwise I look forward to relaxing!
No plans for me. Finishing up my Christmas shopping tonight hopefully. I had a midterm this morning and now I have 2 weeks off from school so I am trying to stop thinking about medical terminology and focus on relaxing for a few days. I have a research paper to write and I want to start reading ahead for the next chapters when I go back but I am not going to start until next week.
This weekend I'll be marking the last mid-term exam . I'm hoping to get around to doing some baking and perhaps putting up the tree. A lot depends on the next couple of hours - we're being hit by a hurricane right now, believe it or not, so we'll have to wait and see if there's going to be damage, a power outage, etc..
Tomorrow DH will finish painting the trim he installed last weekend around one doorway and some of the chair rail so he can put one of our big baby gates back up. The one that keeps DD out of the kitchen!
My Mom is picking DD up to take for an overnight!!
DH and I will be going to a couple's fellowship for a few hours in the evening; but then we get to be ALONE! I'm making a chocolate cherry crisp! Yum! We will get DD at church on Sunday and thats about it I guess.
I have my work Christmas party tonight, then tomorrow I'll go to the Farmers Market in the morning, at night it's a Christmas gathering with friends. Sunday will be flea market in the morning, then spending the day cleaning the house and doing some baking!
Cleaning, baking, and more cleaning. Joy, joy. Oh, and decorating. The outside is decorated but nothing in the inside is. Oh, I forgot, I have one red and green basket with jingle bells on it still out from last year so is our house decorated now?
Oh, forgot about wrapping. And grocery shopping. One of these years I WILL learn to stop procrastinating. But I guess I can do that next year!
I do have to say I come by it honestly. My mom was always last minute getting everything ready for Christmas so I inherited the trait.
