Update on Lucas

My Lucas is doing greeaaat!!  So much better, I thank God for that.  Once I took him off the Hills canned z/d he started getting better.  He played today and he is eating well.  I will be giving him a new food on January, I don't know if I will try lamb first of venison, I will decide that later, the important thing is he is doing well.  He is still on 5mg of prednisolone, and I will keep him on that dose for now.

We are moving to a new house in a month, I can't wait, we will be making an enclosure for my kitties so they can have fun and excercise.  Of course, Lucas can't be out in the sun, but at night and on cloudy days he will be able to play.  I also have harnesses so they will be able to take walks outside. Here I don't let Lucas walk outside because there are lots of stray cats around and his immune system is so weird that I don't want to risk it.

clap.gifclap.gifclap.gif Tammy, what a great update!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just a thought.... with the stress of moving... you might want to hold off on switching his food until things have settled down. And since cornstarch is the only ingredient that's in the canned z/d that isn't in the dry, I think (apart from the protein decision smile.gif ) you should make sure whatever food you pick doesn't have cornstarch. smile.gif

Aw, I'm ALL smiles for you and Lucas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! woohoo.gif

Hi Laurie, thank you!  Yes, I'm keeping that in mind, no corn starch, in fact, I aleady bought all the food, but I have it hidden because when my kitties, specially Lucas, see a can of food, they go crazy, haha.

I'm a little scared about the moving, I think Fuzzy and Nena will be ok, but I'm afraid for my Lucas and for Flaqui, but I will work things out so they can feel safe and happy in their new house.

Hugs!

Thank you so much Lauren!  Of course I will be taking lots of pics of my kitties enjoying their enclosure, I can't wait.  I just hope they like it and the adjust to the changes quickly.  I promised them  I was going to buy them the cat tree they always wanted and that we will be taking walks and having fun.   How is Pipsqueak doing?   I hope the adorable guy is doing ok, give him a kiss for me:)rub.gif
