The World is running out of Chocolate! I have just heard on the news that because China nad India and other new economies are getting a taste for the stuff, there will soon not be enough to go round, and in 20 years the price of chocolate will be greater than that of caviar! What are we going to do? Who is with me in digging a cave and stockpiling our favourites in a cool atmosphere?

*snort* That was so 45 seconds ago... I've had my gymnasium-sized chocolate stash built for a while. laughing02.gif 

 

'Cause, you know, chocolate-less is so not an acceptable state of being!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

What's y'alls favorite kind? I like the Cadbury bars, especially Caramello. Letting it melt in your mouth with your eyes closed and not a sound existing anywhere in the world. Ah..... pure bliss.

Not sure, let me consult with the Duggar family on their strategy for conservation of limited resources, hah!  laughing02.gif

 

Thanks to a forum member, I just found out that quite a few "chocolate" items don't really even have any chocolate in them, they just make the color and taste by other means.   I love Reeces Pieces for example, and yup, sure enough, no cocoa.

LOL, yeah thanks, I'm going to have that song going through my head for the rest of the day now laughing02.gif ! 

 

Actually, after Christmas last year the news reported that chocolate prices were going to go sky high. They were up this year (for melting chocolate at least). Last year I paid a little over $3.00 for 2 lbs of melting chocolate. This year it was $2.99 for 14 oz.

 

I'm not a big chocoholic, except for holidays (holidays include Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, Valentine's Day and Easter). After that I take a few months off and recuperate.
