Hi! I've had my little boy, Kaos, for about 5 years now. I joined to see if there was any good info to find on this site and that seems to be the case. I adopted him from the Humane Society when I was still in highschool. I had seen a few cats that day but as soon as the people let me hold him I just had to take him home. He's always been a hyper cat who likes to roughhouse (thanks to my dad and older brother) but his aggression has gotten worse lately and I'm afraid of him lashing out at my new roommate. I will post some pictures as soon as I get a chance.

Welcome to the site!

There some very good information about dealing with aggressive behaviour in this thread . Feel free to ask any more specific questions about Kaos in the Behavior Forum about his aggressive tendancies.

There is a ton of great information in the site, and even more great information in our members' heads.

I look forward to getting to know you and Kaos on the boards!

As you have mentioned in another post, I believe, that your cat was de-clawed? This is the cause of the aggression. I would keep yur cat in your room and only let it out when you are alone in the house. Poor thing. I would also send the de-clawing sites to your dad and let him know what he did to your cat.

I didn't say my cat was completely crazy or anything, and how in the world would locking that poor kitty up in my room all day do any good for his behavior?!?!
