And the girls seem happy! (The older cats don't give one iota....and I'm a little surprised. I thought they'd at least want to check it out, but nope, they really don't care.)

We had been talking about getting the girls a cat tree for quite a while now. And we finally bought one for them. I think they like it. We didn't know where to put it for now, so it's in the kitchen. After Christmas, we may put it in the living room, either right in front of the bay window or perhaps right between the living room and kitchen.

While Mollipop seems to like to clean her claws out on a more horizontal level, Tabby really likes to reach up and scratch things. When I realized that, we bought a small scratching post for her. And she does use it, but the post doesn't seem to be sturdy enough. It has sisal rope and she seems to really like it. So we chose this particular tree because of all the scratching areas for Tabby. It's working, too! Tabby really scritches at the posts and we haven't seen her around the furniture now at all!
We're hoping that (maybe!) we can start removing all the double-sided sticky tape around the upholstered furniture in the living room. (But we're not holding our breath.)

Rick put it together and they immediately started to investigate.

Tabby wants the top!

Mollipop will take the second level, but she really, really likes the little hide-a-way bed....she jumped inside later on and that was all we saw of her for the rest of the evening. I looked inside and she was all curled up and sacked out.

Tabby seems very content, doesn't she? She took quite a long nap there last night. And after breakfast this morning, she climbed right up and gave herself a bath before settling in for a nap. Thanks for looking!

What a good life!  In my next life I'm going to come back as a cat that lives with you.

Thanks guys! And yes, Miss Tabby has gotten to be a big girl. But pretty....geez, that girl is pretty. She still holds her head at that angle sometimes. Doesn't stop her in the slightest. And now, she's realized that she can get to the kitchen counter via the cat tree. The other night, I was at the counter working on dinner, Tabby walked over and sat in the sink! Just to watch, I guess, and see what I was up to. Now before we go to bed and before we leave the house, we move the cat tree to the middle of the kitchen; it's far enough away from the counters that Tabby can't quite make it. And she's not big enough yet to jump to the counters from the floor. But she's a character and she is spoiled rotten.

Last night, I was lying in bed, reading, with Mollipop and Tabby right beside me. I put the book down and watched them for quite a while. Especially Tabby. She had such a rough start in life with those ear mites (and we're still cleaning her ears once a week now), but she's doing so well. I love those girls so much.

And then BooBoo came back and flopped down between my legs, close enough that I could touch him and caress him, too. Last night? Life was good.

Love the new cat furniture :clap: The girls are so happy with their new tree :happy3:. I just bought a new kitty tree too for my gang for Christmas. My house has more cat furniture than people furniture :lol3: Tabby certainly is a beauty and has gotten so big since the last pictures. What sweet girls they both are and it is great that they became fast friends. I love to watch my cat's too :heart3: it brings me great peace :D. :vibes::vibes: For Tabbys little ears.... Pam, you are doing such a wonderful job caring for her :hugs:
