but she will have a conversation with me anyway.

 

I've taken up a new hobby of weaving and I do a lot of counting out loud to keep track where I'm at.  Lucy, my weaving buddy, will sit beside me purring away and then start talking to me every few minutes.

I love that!

 

Years ago when I did rug-hooking, Hydrox, the Old Coot, loved to lay on my rugs as I was working. I'd get my rug out and flop it over the stool or put it on the sofa and sit on the floor to work. And he would always come over to me and flop down. We'd chat.....well, I'd chat and he'd purr. And we would spend hours that way.
