Purr and Simple cat litter made from nut shells?

Hey I was wondering if anyone has tried this litter: http://www.purrandsimple.com/ I've been searching for a good natural litter for my cats, but it's hard to find acceptable clumping litters because two of my cats have allergies and I am trying to avoid corn, wheat and soy based litters, and anything dusty...

I found this one at a pet store earlier in the week and I picked up a bag, I am planning to try it out next week to see how it goes. I was wondering if anyone else has used it though and what you think of it. It says it is clumping and provides good odor control but I've heard the same thing about others I've tried that did not work out at all... The one I'm using now is Yesterday's News but I don't like it because it doesn't clump and I have trouble scooping out the used litter.

I use Tidy Cat Breeze litterboxes for my of my boxes but my cats prefer to have at least one box with "regular" litter in it.

Their website says it lasts 4 weeks for a single cat household...but I have 4 cats that use that particular litterbox so I'm not sure how often I will need to completely change it out.

Never heard of it, but have you tried feline pine?  Not the pellet but the regular litter variety?

My concern with nut shells, beyond not having heard anyone successfully use it before, is that its hard to imagine it'd be particularly absorbent.

I want to avoid pine because of the possibility for pine to cause or aggravate respiratory problems.

I did try it once before and I didn't like the consistency.

I've been using it due to a suspected corn allergy in one of my cats. It is a little dusty. I never notice anything on the cats or when they scratch in it, just when I pour it and scoop it. And it tracks a lot more than World's Best did. But it does clump nicely and has excellent odor control in my experience.

With two cats we change out the box about once a month.
