Thread Starter

following on from what I have read in your other threads there seems a difference in ideas about garlic pills.

a leading supplier in UK thoroughly recommends garlic for both cats and dogs..

try http://denes.co.uk/Health/product/43/Garlic%20Tablets

for clarification or

http://denes.co.uk/advice/fact_sheets/garlic.php

which is a comprehensive data sheet on their garlic products.

Our 9 cats have a garlic pill a day .

No fleas.

No cat flu or other ailments.

Perfect coat and healthy as anything

Currently bringing out a garlic liquid for cats as well.( for those of you who can't get them to take pills)

There is information that garlic is not good for cats.  IMO I would not risk it.

I am glad your kitties are well though.....however mine are also, and do not take any garlic.

But I know there are differing opinions on lots of things.

I just checked the US ASPCA list of toxic substances....garlic is toxic to horses, cats and dogs.  I pretty much take that as the difinitive word on the subject.  It may take a while to build up in their systems.  It affects red blood cells....I didn't go into the article, just the list.

Well to be honest, they are selling it ..so what are they going to say?  That it is harmful?

People have to realize that just because it is ok for humans, does not mean it is safe for an animal.
