Hi Catsite!
I'm a new member here (Dan), and here's my kitten Max. He's only about 4-4.5 months in these pics. He's a purebreed Burmese and we went with this breed because my girlfriend is not allergic to them. We tested this hypothesis thoroughly before bringing Max home. In fact, we waited 13 years to get to this point, and I was worried I would never be able to have a cat with her, so we got lucky that her friends got a purebred Burmese and that she noticed she wasn't too reactive to her (if at all). So, we got a male kitten from the same breeder. During the research phase last year, we went to the breeder's house and she had like 17 cats—without one sniffle, sneeze, cough, etc. from my girlfriend and we spent at least 1.5 hours playing with a lot of the kitties.
Max is a great kitten. Very affectionate Velcro lap kitty (especially when he's sleeping), loves to play, super smart and we got him to stop biting our legs under the sheets (in bed) the first week (had him just over 4 weeks now). He uses his scratcher on his cat condo which is nice too, and he even copied me when I was doing it myself to show him. He doesn't fetch yet but loves to play too...especially with reusable shopping bags.
I got Max on raw food the second week and he loves it. He was really not that interested in canned food at all though he was eating it grudgingly, it seemed. He liked his Iams kibble (not good for him, I know). The raw food he's on is Primal commercial supplemented with raw chicken, pork and beef with mixed organ meats (liver, heart and kidney). I also have video of him tearing into chicken-on-the-bone but will have to get those edited and uploaded still. He went crazy over that, but he also wanted to drag it around so I had to stop until I can find a good way to contain him. He doesn't tend to drag around boneless meats, though sometimes he'll take a chunk out of his howl and put it somewhere on the kitchen floor or try to eat it under a stool near the kitchen table...but not as readily as with meat-with-bone.
