I just had to post this thread because I don't know if I want to cry or laugh. I am actually doing both :lol3: !!!!!!!!! First off, Boo Boo has been missing since June  about the time Willow showed up. I figured Willow was chasing everyone away :(. Boo was best friends with Yogi :rbheart: and I figured that what ever got Yogi :rbheart: got Boo Boo. Dixie has been missing since September..... It was not too unusual for her to go missing for days at a time, but not for week's and week's.

Just to clarify for those reading who don't know the history. I am sure that Boo Boo and Willow are Dixie's son's... from last year's litter. Yogi :rbheart: if you remember from last winter, was the dad and protector of the kittens (including Avery, Pixie, and Magilla sister's of Boo and Willow) Avery, Pixie and Magilla I socialized and they are in wonderful, loving homes and doing incredibly well . Boo Boo and Willow are twins, identical, both long-haired black/tan tabbies. Just gorgeous boys. For sometime, I thought I was seeing only one cat, as I never saw them together, until one day last May. :lol3: Out came the trap yet again.

The last few week's I have only seen Willow. I accepted the fact that the other's were not coming back, ever. Just last week, mid-day, I saw that HUGE coyote trotting through the yard again. This coyote is the biggest one I have ever seen. Strong, healthy and tough looking, and floated over the ground with ease. He really is a beauty - but I blamed him for my feral's disappearance. I would warn Willow to stay close to the deck, feralvilla and feeding station.

This afternoon, I was looking out the bedroom window, it is a beautiful sunny day. Right outside the window is the feral Villa and the feeding station. I moved the villa and feeding station closer to the house for the winter. Heated water bowl and heating pad are not inside the villa too. I looked down at the villa and DIXIE is sunning herself on the roof of the villa :thud: :thud: My mouth dropped open. She was laying there like a queen bee. THEN out of the villa came BOO BOO, licking his chops after enjoying lunch :lol3: :thud: :thud: Boo sat down and started to clean himself after his meal. Dixie and Boo Boo look wonderful. Beautiful bright eyes, thick furry coats, and in excellent weight and condition. Of course, they didn't see me peeking. I get on the chair by the window and peek through the upper part of the blinds. THey just look in the window at my cat's looking at them. So I can get a good look at them  I will start putting out much more food now. Twice daily. Early morning then mid afternoon. I ran some more warm canned food out. Came in and watched from the window, they went in the villa to eat :clap::clap:

Willow came sauntering out of the woods towards them and sat down, looked in the window as if to say "Hey, where is MINE' !!!!!!! Wllow acted like he has seen them every day for week's :dk:.... I know they have been gone, where I do not know... They would always show themselves to me and would not have hidden for month's like this from me. I haven't a clue. I would love to put on one of those radar collars like they use for the lions on TV to do research on their lives.

I am just beaming with smiles today. :D :D :D :D :D :D It is unbelievable that they are here again. Part of me wonder's - YOGI :rbheart::rbheart: :bawling: but I know in my heart, deep in my heart, he is at the bridge.

Just a couple of week's ago I had a dream :9:. A short dream. Five cat's above sitting on the edge of the roof side by side. Two were brown tabbies :dk: Don't know any feral brown tabbies.... The other three were Dixie, Boo Boo and Yogi :rbheart:. I woke with tears on my face a little. I thought somehow that was a message to me that they were at the bridge all together. Guess that was wrong :woohoo: :jump: :sigh:

p.s. Guess I will keep a lookout for two short-haired brown tabbies in need of TNR .....

Actually :lol3: That is exactly what I was thinking the dream meant. ........ Those were YOUR two brown tabbies because we were just talking about the new brown tabby that needs a speuter ( LOVE IT - SPEUTER)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! For when we don't know if it is a girl or a boy..... :D

That is such wonderful news.  I am so happy they are back and hopefully back to stay.  The coyotes just scare me to death.  I live smack dab in the middle of the suburbs.  During the past year since I have had the 2 ferals, I have seen a coyote 3x in my backyard.  It worries me so much.  I constantly tell the cats to stay close.  Once last spring, I was out on the deck with Shadow.  He began to act really weird and nervous.  Then he ran into the yard and climbed high into one of the trees. He does this often so I just went inside.  As soon as I had closed the door, I looked into the yard and there was a bunny running for its life being chased by a young coyote.  Shadow had sensed its presence and gone for cover.

So happy your kitties have returned!!!

Thank you :hugs:.... yes, caring for these feral's takes a toll on our hearts!!! We even have fox - but I have not seen the fox much lately. I wonder if that huge coyote has chased the fox away or worse - got to the two fox babies I saw over the summer :(. That coyote is definitely patrolling my yard as I saw him again this afternoon - about the same time I saw him/her last week. :nothappy: I ran out there and hollered and jumped up and down and he stopped dead in his tracks - only about thirty feet away and stared me down. Sent shiver's up my spine :dash: I really think he was challenging me and was not afraid of me. So I picked my trusty broom (I guess it is shovel season - time to replace the broom with shovel) :flail: and chased him fiercely away - he took off like a bat out of hel*..... I want him to stay far, far away from here.... MAN, though, he is a beauty - pure wild beauty..... :wavey:

Brilliant, brilliant news. I am so happy for you, your post brought tears to my eyes! I am so glad we have nothing like coyotes here -foxes are about the worst predator for cats we have. I guess there is no way to get rid of a coyote?

I wish I knew !!!! Hopefully chasing him away like a "crazy cat lady" :lol3: did the trick :cross:

Dixie is outside right now - again - sunny herself on top of the villa which gets the afternoon sun. YES today is sunny :sun:. I am so elated to see her, Boo Boo and Willow back together again.:clap: They are seriously hungry and I have been putting out much more food now. The weather has turned and it is much colder :cold:. It is a great feeling, not having to worry, at least for today over my feral's They are safe and sound and I think are here to stay for the winter :D

I got tons of brown tabbies in my neck of the woods!  I had a brown tabbie and white boy catching the girls I had not yet caught last spring and ended up with all kinds of different combinations: brown tabbies, gray tabbies, brown tabbies with white, brown patched tabbies (like a calico with white only the colored parts are tabby), torbie and white (tortie colors with tabbie mixed in) and then there's Sasha, the only one of her kind: a brown lynx point (like a siamese with a creamy colored body only instead of where the dark "points" are supposed to be on the face, paws and tail, there are brown tabbie stripes).  And of course, those gorgeous blue eyes.

I am happy to hear that members of your little family returned.  I truly rejoice with you!!

Thank You :D. I am SO glad you have found TCS - I really know you will love hanging out with us and talking CATS :bigthumb: You certainly have a lot of cat's in your area WOW - so much effort on your part and thank you for doing it  :hugs:

Dixie and Willow I see everyday. Boo has gone missing again but I won't worry myself about it. I do what I can for them and they do know where the shelter/food/care is . It has been extremely warm here as well. Forties and even fifty today. Then we will go into the low twenties and upper teen's more typical of January here in the Midwest. I am SO enjoying these nice warm winter days though. :wavey:
