Well he's certainly handsome! Look at those huge paws!
Thank-you! He's great company :) Like a puppy :) His paws have fur tufts coming out and he's always slipping and sliding on our wooden floors, hilarious!

My cats without paw tufts slip and slide as well when cornering at speed, especially if their feet are wet!

He is very handsome.

Remember that a Maine Coon (and Norway Forest cats and Siberians and quite a few other breeds) are a 'natural breed' - they were selected from the domestic cats of a particular area.  So, it's not surprising that domestic cats with a passing resemblence come along from time to time.  However only 3% or thereabouts of the pet cats in the UK are pedigrees and most of those are neutered, so not going to spread their genes around.

okay here is 2 of my cats there the only 2 with long hair Mewlittle is on the top and Michael <with so many names is on the bottom Mewlittle is about 3 yrs old and Michael is about 5mos old

mewlittles hair is normally allot longer she got a hair cut there I think mewlittle is a main coon mix tortie and michael maybe a main coon mix reason why i say main coon for both because there is a main coon female in my neighborhood and i think she is the mom of michael and when i looked up tortie main coons on good they looked like mewlittle

Mewlittle with longer hair and both eyes and before her skin acted up

and after hair cut and skin problems and right after she lost her eye

michael when he is about 3 mos old

i really dont care what breed they are its just for fun

I think I'd say she might be the sort of cat the MC was selected from.  Rescues in th US seem to have a very nuaghty habit of saying every LH cat that comes through is MC, which means there seem to be an awful lot of them around.

Thank you for replying and making the nice comment :) I thought he might have some American shorthair in him, due to his swirls and shorthair. He also has very little under coat.

American Shorthair is a natural breed - descended / selected from shorthair cats that happen to live in the US - so you get domestic shorthairs that resemble them to a degree.  A better way to put it might be that they resemble the cats the AS is descended from.

Tabbies come in 4 patterns - ticked, mackeral, spotted and classic/blotched.

The patterns show up in both domestic and pedigree cats, does not mean there is any pedigree in your cat. Pedigree cats make up just about 3% of the cat population so the chances of finding one, or even a mix of one is very slim.

This of course doesn't make him any less handsome

I've been looking up the classic/blotched Tabbies and he does resemble them quite a bit.
His markings are unusual to me, but I haven't been around many tabbies.
I appreciate the "handsome" remark :-) He's a special fellow :-)

Can someone help with my cat's breed or possible cross-breed. her mum is Black and her brother from same litter is black (last pic I don't remember her eyes being that yellow so I think it's the flash), although he was a bit smaller then the other kittens. the rest of litter were 2 blacks with some clear brown ( like hers) around their underarm ?  and the last one had same eye colour and fluffiness but white and grey patterned, a very average street cat pattern but was fluffy and light eyes like hers.  I hope these pics help.

Hello everyone! I have a picture for you guys, maybe someone can tell me what my Mikey resembles?

We adopted him from a shelter at 6 months old, he arrived there with his brothers and sisters. He's 8 years old now, and in our opinion he's the best cat ever. Personality traits: very vocal, loyal, bossy at times, but also loves to "hunt" and play. He runs faster than any mature cat I know. He also has a flap of skin from his lower abdomen to his upper hip area, maybe that helps?

Appearance: brown/grey mackarel tabby bicolor, with white on his paws, belly, chest and chin. His paw pads are pink and black, and green eyes with a brown spot on his lower left part of the green.

He very well may be a DSH, but I'd love to know what he resembles. :)

I can't upload a pic from my phone, so if this link doesn't work I'll try again later.
