What's the weather like in your neck of the woods?

It's just horrid here, raining and raining and raining. It's supposed to switch over to snow tonight with anywhere from 2-4 to 3-5 inches of the white stuff by tomorrow morning. And now we're going down into the freezer for a few days, too. Yay....not.

How's your weather???

It's been snowing here! clap.gif

Just had several rainy days that guaranteed this is the rainiest year on record for our area. The clouds are thinning out and should get some sun later today.

But then that means the evening temps will plummet. cold.gif

Raining here as well but I really don't mind it as the temps have been really mild for this time of year. biggthumpup.gif

Beautiful, somewhat windy and uncharacteristically cold (55F).

We are in for a nasty winter in the desert, probably no snow, but likely lots of rain, wind, and flooding.

Typically it doesn't get that cold here during the day, 60s or so.

Tons and tons of rain. argh2.gif The tempature is pretty mild though, which isn't bad. But the rain is crazy, and is supposed to be even worse tomorrow!

It's a typical Colorado fall/winter. If you don't like the weather, just wait a little bit. It'll change.

Last Wednesday it was sunny & close to 60* F. sunshine.gif Thursday it was 25* F and snowed ~6-8" while Friday & Saturday were mostly overcast with spurts of snow. I don't remember Sunday as being particularly...anything bluelaugh.gif but I know we got another inch or so of snow. Monday was frigid, with a high of only 9* F cold.gif and the low was between -1 &-5* F. But the snow from the weekend was melting, even in those temps. rolleyes.gif Today it's back to the upper 30s to low 40s where it's supposed to stay for a while. A few days at least. But that could change. bluelaugh.gif

The best thing about Colorado weather is that it's almost always temperate and when we do hit the extremes, hot or cold, it usually doesn't last long.

Here in Chicago, it's been rather Portland-like!  We haven't seen any snow yet which is really unusual.  It's December 7th, the average is November 21st.  If we make it to December 16th with no snow, we'll break a record.

Bring on the snow, mother nature!

very mild for a Canadian winter in the supposed snowbelt area.

It hovers around freezing.... some snow on the ground earlier in the week, but all thats left is patches of ice in the grass. No cumulative snow yet. It was raining on the weekend, and I said I'd rather it snow.... Seriously, I'd rather snow that cold horrible rain....

Right now its past midnight and sitting at 0.5C which is slightly less than 32F. I wouldn't mind a walk in it.

I'm hoping we get snow for xmas..... although, odds are I will be moving soon and would rather no snow for moving. It sure makes a pain in the butt.

so yah, very mild compared to "usual". Crisp and cool, but not freezing cold (well to some it would be, but to me, no).

Lucky!frusty.gifIt's freezing here.  Right now it's -12*C (10*F) with a wind chill of -24*C (-11*F).  We haven't had too much snow yet, but I know it's coming.

Winter is just starting here, but I can't say it's all that bad. If the high temps get above freezing I can't complain. The over night lows are getting down to the hard freezes...it will only get worse as we get in to January and February. I have a couple newborn babies I'm worried about keeping warm until next spring.

We'll be happy when they soak up the sun out on the porch next April or May.

I live in the middle of the US. Trace of snow and the freezing temps have started. The snow level isn't too bad, its coming.

Rain and wind frown.gif  Scotland is expecting the worst of the winds  but were just down the road from it so it's picking up here now. I think l may have to take the wreath off the door until it calms down

The last 36 hours have been a bit of a wild ride. We've had about 2-1/2 inches of rain and horrible wind. The sun is out now, but the wind continues. I've been up since around 4:00 am when the crazy loud thunder started. It's about 38 degrees out but before this storm it had been unusually warm around here.

Well, last night, it did switch over to snow and we ended up with over 6 inches. Rick had gone to dinner with some old classmates and he said it was an absolute nightmare trying to get back home. Everything was fine in town, but as he drove south to come home, the road conditions steadily deteriorated. Vehicles were stranded trying to get up the hills along the main highway and it was just nasty. He finally did make it home, but he ended up having to go way out around the back way to get home, just to get away from all the stranded cars. He said he's getting too old for that stuff. Evidently PennDOT hadn't made it out yet and the roads were just horrible. (He said he knew I was pacing around the house waiting for him to get home...and when he finally turned into the driveway to drive up our hill, Tabby and I were sitting in the window in the living room watching for him.)

We live on a hill and it's just high enough that we have our own little weather systems. When it's raining down off the hill in the winter, we're getting snow. Lots of snow. I can leave my house in the morning in bright sun, drive down off the hill, and encounter dense fog. When our neighbors first moved in, they asked if there was anything they should know. I told her that the weather was a little weird "up here". During their first winter, they found out what I was talking about and immediately bought a 4WD vehicle. smile.gif I'll come into work and my car will be the only one in the parking lot with snow on it! That's happened more than a few times.

Our snow ended around 11 or so last night and by this morning, the roads are bare and everything is fine. We're already above freezing and the snow is melting. No school delays around here, although there are quite a few to the east of us. Came into work this morning and in town? Nothing!

Rainy and grey...I don't think we've seen the sun for any significant amount of time for about 7 days now. It is pretty mild, though, only hovering around freezing.

It has been pretty weird here! It was around 75 Tuesday and Wednesday, but it dropped overnight and it was a high of about 56 today! I think it's supposed to be like this the rest of the week. That's about average temperature for this time of year, but I was starting to get used to the warm weather again!
