Skorge was about two days old when we got her. She was stranded without a mother. The intial plan was to take care of her and once she was of age and health find her a new home. Generally speaking i'm not much of a cat person. All the cats i've ever been around don't seem to care much for humans. They just wonder around and do their own thing. I guess I didn't believe cats (on average) were very affectionate or involved in their owners lives.
As the weeks went by feeding and taking care of Skorge I started to fall in love with the little one. In the end it was an easy decision to keep her and i'm glad I did. Not only is she a wonderful pet but she's the coolest cat i've ever met. Since she was a baby i've spent just about everyday with her. When she's out of food in the middle of the night she'll bite on my ear to wake me up and feed her. When I come home from work she jumps up on the couch and gives me a kiss (nose to nose.) When I shut the lights off she'll hop up into bed, cuddle with me and go to sleep!
In the end she defintely changed my perspective on cats as a whole. We've spent endless time together and have really bonded in the process and I couldn't picture a day without her.
She's currently three months old, happy, healthy and full of life!
I was curious if anyone had any idea what "breed" she might be? I can't help but be curious!
(In this photo she's about 6 weeks old.)
