Do any of you have outdoor litter boxes for your ferals?  I was thinking of placing one in my shed next to their sleeping quarters.  Yesterday it was raining so hard.  I don't think Shadow left the deck all day except to run to his feeding station to grab a quick bite.  I was thinking it would help them out for winter time too.  Yet, I don't want it to attract any other wildlife.  I have a hard enough time keeping the raccoons and skunks away as it is.  I was thinking of just using a sterlite box that I would put up on a few bricks.  It would be in an enclosure so it wouldn't get wet.

Thanks!

Fighting for ferals in NW NJ!
A friend uses a kiddie pool filled with sand. That's larger than you need, of course. But I don't think a litter box would attract other animals... perhaps other cats! :lol3:

YEP :D - I, too, have heard of the kiddie pool being used for friendly feral's. I think that would be nice for your kitties. A bit more work on your part :D but I am sure they would appreciate it. Not sure if it would attract wildlife :dk: - but yes, might attract other kitties..... :)
