G'day folks. Hope everyone is well.

Heres an easy one:

Tell us a short story of something your pets have done, or do, that amuses you and brings a smile to your face.

hopefully it'll bring a smile to others, who may need it. :)

Where my cats are
The back door to our house is a "false" french door look.  One side is a window instead of a door.  We put our cat tree in front of this window and hung a bird feeder from the eve of the house outside it.  It's been there since early summer; but lately both Mooch and Noodles will get up there and paw at the birds eating!  Most of my regular birds have figured out by now that the cats can't reach them.  They will either sit there and continue eating; or sit there and stare back at my 2 crazy cats!

would make this certain noise and I'd make the same noise back. Sometimes we did that for 10 or so minutes
He would give me hugs. The 1st moment I met him he wrapped his paws around my neck and hugged me.

Luna says words when she meows: "now", "down", "out", "no", "yeah".

Midnight does tricks for Temptations every night.  He shakes paw, we touch noses, gives high five, marches in a circle, and dances

Over the river and through the woods...
Little One was very affectionate when she was a kitten but when we moved she changed. It didn't help that she was suddenly thrown into a new house (that still smelled like the previous cats and dogs...MIL's) and it was a temporary house with boxes all over the place. Plus we soon added 3 kittens we had to bottle feed to the mix. She was NOT happy and basically ignored us. She would eat the food and drink the water we put out and use the litter box we cleaned but we rarely saw her. Fast forward to our new house. She was still anti-social for a while but there was enough room that she started to feel comfortable. My awwww moment is the first time she followed me into the bedroom when we were getting ready to go to bed. I didn't realize she was there until I got the bed straightened out and started to get comfy. I heard this meow I had never heard before. At that point all we heard from her was a hiss or a fighting howl. This was a question...and I looked at the foot of the bed and Little One was poised like she was going to jump up but it sounded like she was asking for permission first. I patted the bed and up she came. She was hesitant at first but all it took was a few head rubs and butt rubs and she was on her back purring up a storm. I couldn't go to sleep (I had tears in my eyes) and kept petting her. When DH came in an hour later he was amazed! Even now that we moved back to that house she hated, she still comes in the bedroom to get lovings and pets. She sleeps on our bed and is the only cat allowed in (with 6 cats and 4 dogs we have to limit it or else we'd be sleeping on the floor!)

In paradise, under a cat pile
My guys are gentle and kind to new ones coming in our house.

I brought home Babydoll, a cat that my boss rescued from death. He didn't want a cat. So I took her. Better that then to go back outside to freeze again.

She still had a snotty nose with green stuff coming out. I put in a Vicks plug in thing and she could breath.

My Willie was the first to jump in to show her where the food was, the litterbox and the deck. All had to convince her to go out there.

For the first time in her life, other cats have shown her kindness. All the feral cats did was hiss and bat  her around. Didn't let her eat.

Once she settled they all played. The boys tried to send her down the duct work a couple of times. She would try. I stopped her. She was only here for three short years. But she was happy and well fed.

Then when I adopted Peanut Butter. They did the same thing for him. He was a kitten with viger though. All are still romping around here.

Well, Rick said that Tabby was baptised yesterday afternoon by the toilet and needed a bath! He said he had to use the bathroom, even before he could feed them dinner last night. When he went in, Tabby was already in there, using a litterbox. Rick said...just that quick....she was in the toilet. Bath time! She received a good bath, followed by being dried off with a nice fluffy towel. Tabby was not amused and when I got home, she was still damp. She met me at the front door and told me all about her ordeal.....loudly.

Some of you may remember Mollipop's toilet baptism.....only hers happened at 4:00 in the morning! I don't know what it is about kittens and toilets.
