Hey guys, just wanted to request vibes/prayers for Lionel, a very sweet, young orange/white guy adopted about a year ago from the rescue I volunteer with. We learned yesterday from his owners that he went missing on Sat. morning. Unfortunately, they'd take him to the vet and returned home without putting him in a cat carrier and he got loose from his owners arms as he was being carried into their apartment building. We're not passing judgement on them, but focussing on finding Lionel. From what they've said he took off toward the woods behind their apartment. They hired a local pet detective the same day whose dogs traced Lionel's scent beyond the woods and into another apartment complex where they lost his trail. The area has been plastered with flyers and Lionel's owners have been going door to door to see if there have been any sightings. The local SPCA, other shelters and area vets have been alerted. "Lost" ads have been placed in the local newspaper, Craigslist and on Facebook. Fortunately, Lionel is microchipped. Unfortunately, he's declawed, which adds to our concern.

Please keep your fingers crossed for Lionel's safe return home. Thanks!

Many many many :vibes: :vibes: :vibes: :vibes:

I hate it when people transport cats not in carriers. It's too easy for them to spook .:(

Poor Lionel can't defend himself or catch prey.  I see you started this thread very recently, and I'm sending many vibes that he'll return home safely soon.

Sorry for not posting an update sooner. Last week was pretty crazy between work and cats. Thank you so much for the vibes! They worked! After a week of searching and worry, Lionel is home! On Sat. night, Lionel was spotted in a neighbor's yard about 10 houses down from the apt. where he lived. She was able to lure him into a cat carrier and immediately called his owners. Fortunately, they'd alerted all the neighbors that Lionel had gone missing and plastered the area with flyers. According to his owners, Lionel is very happy to be home, seems fine and has been very demanding. We're all so relieved that he's home and hoping his owners have learned a lesson from this. Thanks again!
